During this deployment, we conducted our Health Teaching session focused on hypertension, the health concern identified and prioritized by the senior citizens during the previous weekโs community activities. Through this session, we shared essential information about hypertension, including its causes, risk factors, prevention, and management, empowering the community to better understand and take charge of their health.
In addition, we demonstrated the proper use of a blood pressure monitor, helping our senior citizens feel more confident and capable in regularly monitoring their own blood pressure.
To further support the community, we were also honored to have a physician provide free medical consultations for the senior citizens. This gave them the opportunity to seek guidance, ask questions, and receive personalized care.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Aruala for graciously accepting our invitation and for generously sharing your time and expertise with the community. We would also like to thank the senior citizens of Barangay Bacagay for your continued support, enthusiasm, and active participation in our.
Your trust, cooperation, and warm presence continue to make Amping Bacagay a truly meaningful and impactful journey for all of us.

Last Saturday, March 7, 2026, MT22 Section B returned to Barangay Bagacay, Dumaguete City, for another deployment under our program:
๐๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ฒ: ๐๐ฅ๐๐ ๐ ๐ฌ๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ฐ๐๐ง, ๐๐ฅ๐๐ง๐ ๐ฌ๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ ๐ฅ๐๐ฐ๐๐ฌ.
During this deployment, we presented and reported the results of the laboratory tests conducted during our second visit, including the findings from the vital signs assessment, blood tests, and urinalysis. We also shared the results of the Health Baseline Survey and the ocular survey conducted during our first deployment.
Through these results, we facilitated a problem identification and prioritization activity with our senior citizen participants. Together, we discussed the health concerns present in the community and worked collaboratively to determine which issue should be prioritized.
With the active participation of the barangayโs senior citizens, hypertension was identified as the primary health concern to address. Following this, the group conducted project identification and prioritization, during which the community decided to implement a personalized exercise program designed to help manage and reduce the risk of hypertension among senior citizens.
This activity highlighted the importance of community participation in public health decision-making, ensuring that the solutions developed truly reflect the needs of the people they are meant to serve.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Barangay Bacagay and our dedicated senior citizens for your enthusiasm, cooperation, and trust throughout this process. Your participation continues to inspire us as we move forward with the next steps of our program.
