𝐏𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐬 & 𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐇𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐣𝐨𝐧𝐠, 𝐒𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐧

In line with its commitment to serving the community, the Physics & Geology Department successfully carried out its first extension activity for SY 2025–2026 in Brig. 𝐀𝐣𝐨𝐧𝐠, 𝐒𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐧 on November 29, 2025. The initiative featured a lecture on 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 to support the barangay’s disaster risk reduction efforts, attended by barangay officials, health workers, and tanods.

The resource speaker was 𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐡 𝐊𝐢𝐦 𝐑. 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐭, a geohazard geologist who previously served with the Mines and Geosciences Bureau before entering the academe. The activity was made possible through the collaboration of LGU–Sibulan, LGU–Ajong, and the Physics & Geology Department.
