In compliance with Executive Order No. 50, Series of 2026, issued by the Office of the Governor of Negros Oriental, suspending classes at all levels, St. Paul University Dumaguete (SPUD) will implement Paulinian Blended Learning (PBL)โ€”utilizing synchronous or asynchronous online instruction as appropriate for each classโ€”on Friday and Saturday, August 7โ€“8, 2026, due to the reported increase in conjunctivitis (sore eyes) cases.

University offices shall remain open and will continue regular operations.

The University has also intensified its preventive health measures. Through the Facilities Management and General Services Office (FMGS), routine cleaning, sanitation, and disinfection of classrooms, offices, laboratories, comfort rooms, and other high-contact areas have been intensified to help reduce the risk of transmission.

The University encourages all students, faculty, and staff to continue observing proper health and hygiene practices, including frequent handwashing, avoiding touching the eyes, refraining from sharing personal items, and seeking appropriate medical consultation should symptoms of conjunctivitis develop.

Further announcements, if necessary, will be released through the University's official communication channels.
