STATEMENT ON ALLEGED SEXUAL HARASSMENT AND PHYSICAL ABUSE

Silliman University (SU) Senior High School is aware of online posts and discussions raising allegations of sexual harassment and physical abuse involving members of our community. We acknowledge the concern and distress these reports have caused among our students, parents, and other stakeholders. As of this time, the Office has not received any official complaint or report.

SU Senior High School and the University as a whole reaffirm our commitment to maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. In line with the Safe Spaces Act and existing University policies, all concerns must be addressed through the appropriate channels and in observance of due process, ensuring fairness to all parties.

In this regard, we strongly encourage any student, parent, personnel with personal knowledge of relevant incidents to report these through our designated channel at [email protected]. All reports will be received and handled with utmost sensitivity and confidentiality.

At the same time, SU Senior High School is taking appropriate steps to review information already brought to our attention and to implement immediate measures, as necessary, to protect students’ welfare. To protect the privacy and rights of those involved, especially students, updates, if any, will be shared only to the extent consistent with due process and confidentiality requirements.

✅ QUALIFICATIONS

Class A – Grade 11 & 12 students with a general average of 95% and above in the previous semester (1st semester, SY 2025-2026), and with a minimum final grade of 85% in all subjects

Class B – Grade 11 & 12 students with a general average of 90% - 94.99% in the previous semester (1st semester, SY 2025-2026), and with a minimum final grade of 85% in all subjects

It’s happening!

The 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐌 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 officially takes place this October 29th at the Audio-Visual Theatre, Silliman University with the theme, “𝙎𝙏𝙀𝙈 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙: 𝙎𝙤𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙃𝙞𝙜𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄𝙣𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣.”

This research conference is a presentation and celebration of young researchers pushing the frontiers of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

This event is in partnership with American Corner Dumaguete - Silliman University and Project STEAMify.

In celebration of Silliman University's 124th founding anniversary, the Senior High School Department invites you to 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞: 𝐀 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐤-𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦 on August 13, 2025 (Wednesday), 9:00 am at the SHS Conference Hall (SH 201-205). Witness the research presentations of our notable alumni: Althea Picardal, Leonard Mandajoyan, Noah Catan, and Chase Cuyacot who brought and showcased their innovation and creativity in various international research conferences.

Joining them is Asst. Prof. Janice Antoniette V. Forster, manager of the SU Technology Business Incubator (SU TBI), who will share the resources, services, and facilities of the office to further promote and develop students' research works and inventions.

This event is initiated by the SHS Department in partnership with the Silliman University Language Learning Center and American Corner Dumaguete.
