The Science and Health Communication Campaign conducted by Blazing Phoenix on May 22, 2026 aimed to evaluate studentsโ knowledge and understanding of responsible technology use and screen time management.
Before the campaign, the pre-test results from 20 students showed an average score of 88.5%, indicating that students already had basic knowledge about the effects of excessive screen time. However, after the discussion and activities, the post-test administered to 23 students resulted in an average score of 80.9%.
While the scores appeared lower, this reflected a deeper understanding of the topic rather than simple guessing from the pre-test. Students became more aware of the realities, myths, and effects of excessive screen useโespecially its impact on the brain, sleep, focus, stress, and healthy digital habits.
The results also revealed that most students successfully understood key concepts discussed during the campaign, although some misconceptions still remained in selected areas. This highlights the importance of continuous awareness and reinforcement when it comes to responsible gadget use.
Overall, the campaign was a success โจ
Not only did students gain knowledge, but they also actively participated, reflected on their screen habits, and learned while enjoying the activities.
Because awareness is the first step toward healthier digital habits. ๐๐ต
