Legacy Knows No Denouement: Echoes of a Quiet Symphony
(Anneth Sharlotte L. Destreza)

In the buzzing hallways of Rafael Lentejas Memorial School of Fisheries, where the echoes of youthful laughter blend the rhythm of learning, one person stood out the most—that teacher is Rosalino Peralta Pelotos, also known as Sir Emong or Sir Russ—a placid and committed educator whose legacy has been built not through loudness, but through quiet excellence, unwavering dedication, and genuine care for others.

Inside the Four Walls

Sauntering into Sir Rosalino Peralta Pelotos’ classroom, you will find none of the typical pedagogical theatrics. There is no slamming of rulers or sharp rebukes. Even in the high-pressure environment of a science curriculum, Sir Emong operates with a serenity that remains steady amid the chaos around him.

For almost 27 years of service to RLMSF, Sir Pelotos has faithfully served the school, molding not only young minds but also mentoring fellow educators. The positive attitude he openly shares with the world has earned him the respect of students, teachers, and the entire school community. As a science teacher, Sir Pelotos has always maintained a calm approach to pedagogy. Even in stressful moments, one would find him composed, never once raising his voice at his students—showcasing his choice of patience and creating a classroom where students feel safe, respected, and motivated. His serenity has made science enjoyable to explore and easier to understand, making him someone many of his fellow educators look up to.

"He never raised his voice," everyone who knew him could say. By stripping away the anxiety often associated with complex scientific concepts, he has made learning an act of exploration rather than a chore. For his colleagues, he is more than just a peer; he is a compass, a mentor whose steady hand has guided many through the turbulent early years of their own teaching careers.

Beyond the Four Walls

Sir Pelotos has made notable contributions to both sports and the arts. His creativity is truly inspiring. He is the lyricist of Raise The Torch, the official hymn of Tinambacan 1 District. Through his meaningful composition, he has given the district a song that reflects unity and pride, inspiring members of the Tinambacan 1 District community with hope and purpose.

He is also the founder of the successful design business: Russ D.sign, a testament to his artistic spirit. Transforming creative ideas into a reality, making every occasion’s ambiance a majestic paradise by his handcrafted artistry.

As an Eastern Visayas Regional Athletic Association (EVRAA) veteran swimming coach, he has trained student-athletes not only stroking techniques but also to develop resilience, discipline, and excellence in sports competitions. His dedication has helped young swimmers grow not only as athletes but also as individuals with strong character.

A Legacy That Continues to Shine

As he approaches nearly three decades of service, Sir Rosalino Peralta Pelotos’ greatest accomplishment cannot be measured by titles, awards, or years of service alone. It can be found in the countless lives he has touched—with every lesson taught, every teacher mentored, and every student encouraged. His kindness, humility, and devotion have created an impact that will continue for generations.

Sir Pelotos leaves behind more than trails of memories—he leaves a vast legacy of integrity, compassion, creativity, and excellence. His story reminds us that the most enduring influence often comes from those who lead with patience, serve with humility, and inspire others without seeking recognition.

The legacy of Sir Rosalino Peralta Pelotos is one that will continue to shine, proving that the greatest teachers are those who not only educate minds but also shape hearts. Long after the final lesson has been taught and the classroom doors have closed, his influence will continue to resonate in the hearts of those he has guided. His legacy knows no denouement, for it lives on in every life he has touched and every future he has helped shape.

🌿🥗 2026 Nutrition Month Culmination 🥗🌿
Theme: “Nutrisyon at Kalikasan Pangalagaan”

Rafael Lentejas Memorial School of Fisheries proudly concluded its Nutrition Month 2026 celebration with enthusiasm and unity among learners, teachers, parents, and school personnel. Guided by the theme “Nutrisyon at Kalikasan Pangalagaan,” the program highlighted the link between proper nutrition and environmental care, reminding everyone that a healthy body depends on nutritious food and a sustainable environment.

Learners engaged in meaningful activities such as the Nutri Quiz, which tested knowledge on food groups, healthy lifestyles, and environmental stewardship, and the Malunggay Pandesal Making Activity, which showcased how local, nutrient‑rich ingredients can be transformed into healthier meals. The Healthy Baon Campaign further encouraged families to prepare balanced, affordable snacks and lunches, promoting mindful eating, reduced food waste, and appreciation of locally sourced produce.

The culmination program celebrated not only the achievements of learners but also the support of teachers, parents, and stakeholders who made the event successful. As the school community looks beyond July, the lessons of Nutrition Month inspire continued healthy choices, environmental responsibility, and collective action toward a greener future. Congratulations and gratitude to all who contributed to this resounding success—truly living by the theme: “Nutrisyon at Kalikasan Ating Pangalagaan.”
