The Commission on Audit (COA) conducted an inventory and physical inspection of school facilities and government-owned resources at Dagupan City National High School (DCNHS) to check the existence, condition, and proper utilization of procured equipment and ensure compliance with government accounting and auditing regulations.

The inspection covered various school assets, including recently acquired Smart TVs, ICT equipment, instructional resources, and other government-funded properties. The activity aimed to validate inventory records, assess the functionality and condition of school resources, and uphold transparency and accountability in the management of public funds and school property.

Accompanying the COA inspection team were Mr. Benigno Salazar, Administrative Officer IV, Sir Jeffrey Lacosta, Supply Officer, Ms. Vina Reamon, Administrative Officer, and Ms. Rikaela Camara, school accountant, who facilitated the inspection by assisting in the verification of property records, locating school assets, and providing the necessary documentation required during the inventory process.

DAGUPAN CITY — In a bid to chart a clearer direction for school improvement and learner success, Dagupan City National High School (DCNHS) conducted its School Management Review (SMR) on July 10, 2026 at the DCNHS Library-AVR, gathering teachers and stakeholders to assess the effectiveness of school-based programs, projects, and activities (PPAs) and map strategic plans anchored on data and evidence for better learning outcomes.

In his opening speech, Dr. W***y U. Guieb, Principal IV, underscored the significance of the annual review as a vital leadership mechanism that goes beyond compliance. He emphasized that every program must be measured by its impact on learners and supported by reliable evidence.

"This School Management Review allows us to reflect on what we have accomplished, identify the gaps that remain, and chart a clear direction for the coming school year. Through data-informed planning and collaborative decision-making, we can develop responsive programs that address our learners' needs and ensure that every intervention contributes to better educational outcomes," Dr. Guieb said.

During the presentation of PPAs, program proponents reported the accomplishments and implementation outcomes of the Hasa Basa Program, Project I-DREAM, Project BRIDGE, TATAK TLE Project, Project RISE, Project KAIBIGAN, Project LEAD/ELEVATE, Project LIGTAS, Civic Revitalization Initiative (KKK-DCNHS), SSLG Programs, SNED, Open High School Program, Journalism (The Dagupeñan Sparks and SINAG), GSP/BSP, Sports Development Programs, PTA Initiatives, ONE-DAGUPAN Programs, Capacity Building for Academic Excellence, Project GREEN, Project CLASSROOM, and Project SAFE.

Presenters highlighted each initiative's accomplishments, best practices, challenges encountered, and proposed interventions and targets to further strengthen school governance and improve learner outcomes in the succeeding school year.

According to Dr. Herbert Perez, Assistant to the School Principal, the annual School Management Review provides an opportunity for the school to assess the impact of its programs.

“The School Management Review allows us to reflect on our accomplishments, identify areas that need improvement, and use data to guide our next steps in providing quality education for every learner,” Mr. Perez expressed.

The School Management Review concluded with a renewed commitment from the DCNHS teachers and stakeholders to institutionalize data-driven governance, strengthen accountability, and implement forward-looking programs that respond to emerging educational challenges. Guided by the review's findings, the school aims to continuously improve teaching and learning processes and reinforce its commitment to providing quality, inclusive, and learner-centered education.

Effective immediately, our official page will be renamed from "DCNHS – Junior High School" to "DepEd Dagupan City National High School."

This transition is part of the Department of Education's commitment to strengthening public communication by ensuring that all official digital platforms reflect a unified identity and uphold the principles of transparency, accuracy, accountability, and responsible information dissemination. The change also helps the public easily identify legitimate DepEd-managed platforms and minimizes the spread of misinformation.

Please be assured that only the page name has changed. The page remains the official communication platform of Dagupan City National High School – Junior High School, where announcements, school programs, achievements, advisories, and other official updates will continue to be published.
