As the Academic Year 2025–2026 comes to an end, the Junior People Management Association of the Philippines would like to express our deepest gratitude to all of you for the trust, respect, support, and cooperation you have given throughout this journey.

Serving as your student leaders has been more than just a responsibility, it has been a meaningful experience that we will always carry with pride and gratitude. The 2nd Year BSBA HRM students of JRMSU Dipolog Campus successfully conducted their Community Extension Program entitled “Waves of Change: Empowering Youth Through Coastal Clean-Up Drive” last May 22, 2026, at Brgy. Sicayab, Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte, as part of their requirements in the Good Governance and Social Responsibility course under the guidance of their course instructor, Prof. Luzvilyn C. Tan-Muchillas, MBA.

The activity aimed to promote environmental awareness, community involvement, and youth empowerment through a coastal clean-up drive that encouraged everyone to become more responsible in protecting and preserving coastal communities. 🌊🍃

The program officially opened with inspiring remarks from Prof. Luzvilyn C. Tan-Muchillas, MBA, followed by meaningful messages from PLT Chissa Mae Patriana and PCPL Cresente S. Patangan Jr. of 1st ZNPMFC.

One of the highlights of the activity was the presence of the distinguished resource speaker, Ms. Irish Antabo Nogot, a Biologist and Development Management Officer II of the Department of Environment and Natural Sciences – PENRO Zamboanga del Norte, who shared valuable insights about environmental conservation, coastal protection, and the importance of community participation in creating sustainable change. 💚

An inspirational message was also delivered by SK Chairperson Hon. Feat Mariz Alegarbes, while the closing remarks were given by Brgy. Councillor Hon. Ervin C. Bael on behalf of Brgy. Captain Joe Chris L. Empal.

This meaningful initiative reflects the commitment of the BSBA HRM students in creating positive change through simple yet impactful actions for the community and the environment. Let us continue to protect our environment and become the waves of change for future generations.🌊🫶
