๐๐๐ด๐๐๐ ๐ญ, ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฑ โ St. Vincentโs College Incorporated (SVCI) hosted its 2nd Student Research Colloquium under the theme โSVCInnovation: A Journey of Shared Hope and Knowledge.โ The event brought together administrators, faculty, staff, program heads, guests, and students in a celebration of academic inquiry.
Dr. Shiela Dalumpines, Director of the Center for Research and Development (CRD), opened the program with a warm welcome message. The keynote address was delivered by Most Rev. Severo C. Caermare, D.D., Bishop of Dipolog, who emphasized the vital connection between faith, scholarship, and community service.
The SVCI Study Hall buzzed with energy as students showcased their research through poster displays. Projects spanned diverse fieldsโfrom pedagogy to financeโwith presenters explaining their methodologies and findings to engaged attendees. The posters were evaluated by a panel composed of Mr. Archielito Manalo, Mr. Dexter Zayas, and Head Evaluator Dr. Josephine Chavez. This interactive session not only highlighted student scholarship but also fostered constructive feedback and cross-disciplinary dialogue.
The afternoon featured oral presentations, where student teams delivered in-depth reports on their research. Each presentation was followed by a lively Q&A session, allowing for intellectual exchange. A distinguished panelโcomprising Dr. Rona P. Taรฑara, Mrs. Teonith Biolango-Agura, and Ms. Cherry M. Gonzalesโprovided expert critiques and encouragement, further enriching the discourse.
By spotlighting student-driven inquiry, the colloquium reinforced SVCIโs dedication to innovation and knowledge-sharing. True to its motto, โVeritas Liberabit Vosโ (The Truth Will Set You Free), SVCI continues to inspire Vincentian learners to pursue truth through collaborative research and academic excellence.
