MALACAรANG ORDERS ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS AMID HEAVY RAINS
ordered government offices in Metro Manila and 14 provinces to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements on Tuesday, 18 August 2026, due to continuous heavy rainfall associated with the southwest .
Under Memorandum Circular 128, the directive covers Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Benguet, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas, Rizal, Laguna and Occidental Mindoro.
Alternative learning modes will also be implemented for all levels in public and private schools in the affected areas unless otherwise directed by their respective local chief executives.
Agencies providing basic and health services, disaster response and other vital services will continue operations, while work arrangements in the private sector are left to managementโs discretion. | Raffy Ayeng
