Suspendido ang face-to-face classes bukas, Huwebes, ika-20 ng Agosto, sa lahat ng antas ng mga pampubliko at pribadong paaralan sa Lalawigan ng Bataan, alinsunod sa Memorandum Circular No. 131 ng Malacañang. Hinihikayat ang mga paaralan na ipatupad ang kanilang Alternative Learning Modes tulad ng online o modular.

Samantala, ipatutupad naman ang alternative work arrangements sa mga tanggapan ng pamahalaan sa Bataan. Maaari ring magpasya ang mga LGU sa nararapat na work arrangement sa kanilang nasasakupan, alinsunod sa Memorandum Circular ng Malacañang.

Patuloy namang magbibigay-serbisyo ang mga ahensyang nangangasiwa sa basic at health services, disaster preparedness and response, at iba pang mahahalagang serbisyo.

Ang suspension o alternative work arrangements sa pribadong sektor ay nasa pagpapasya ng kani-kanilang management.

In view of the intense rainfall and flooding being experienced in various areas of Bataan, and in consideration of the safety and well-being of the BPSU community, please be advised of the following:

All classes under the Undergraduate, Graduate School, College of Law, and College of Medicine shall shift to ASYNCHRONOUS ONLINE LEARNING effective 3:00 PM today, August 19, until Saturday, August 22, 2026.

Faculty members are reminded to give students ample time to accomplish and submit their assigned activities and academic requirements, taking into consideration the prevailing weather conditions and possible difficulties in accessing learning resources.

The University continues to closely monitor the weather situation and official government advisories. Any subsequent suspension or directive issued by the National Government shall supersede the arrangements stated in this advisory.

Further announcements shall be issued through official BPSU communication channels as necessary.

In compliance with University Memorandum PRES.MEM.2026.1603 regarding the shift to synchronous online learning effective today due to inclement weather conditions, the Guidance and Counseling Unit (GUCO) issues the following advisory to the university community.

We want to assure everyone that your mental well-being remains our top priority. Therefore, our Guidance and Counseling services will continue without interruption.

While onsite appointments are suspended for everyone’s safety, counseling services remain fully available online.

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 128, government offices are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on August 18, 2026:

📍 La Union
📍 Pangasinan
📍 Benguet
📍 Zambales
📍 Bataan
📍 Tarlac
📍 Pampanga
📍 Bulacan
📍 Cavite
📍 Batangas
📍 Rizal
📍 Laguna
📍 Occidental Mindoro

Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

MALACAÑANG ORDERS ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS AMID HEAVY RAINS

ordered government offices in Metro Manila and 14 provinces to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements on Tuesday, 18 August 2026, due to continuous heavy rainfall associated with the southwest .

Under Memorandum Circular 128, the directive covers Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Benguet, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas, Rizal, Laguna and Occidental Mindoro.

Alternative learning modes will also be implemented for all levels in public and private schools in the affected areas unless otherwise directed by their respective local chief executives.

Agencies providing basic and health services, disaster response and other vital services will continue operations, while work arrangements in the private sector are left to management’s discretion. | Raffy Ayeng
