The establishment of the ๐—ข๐—ณ๐—ณ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฉ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ ๐—–๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐—น๐—น๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐—ฆ๐˜๐˜‚๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜ ๐—ฆ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐˜€ ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐——๐—ฒ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—น๐—ผ๐—ฝ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜ (๐—ข๐—ฉ๐—–๐—ฆ๐—ฆ๐——) has been officially approved through BOR Resolution No. 121, s. 2026 during the 274th BOR Meeting.

This will serve as the University-wide lead office for student welfare, student development, and institutional student programs and services. It will strengthen student success and retention, protect student rights and safety, improve employability outcomes, and professionalize service delivery through standardized workflows, a one-stop student services model, and service performance monitoring.

The creation of OVCSSD is anchored on national standards for Student Affairs and Services in higher education per CMO No. 09, s. 2013; the authority of the MSU Board of Regents to create and reorganize offices and transfer units to support the University's mandate.

This milestone ushers in a new era of accessible, efficient, and empowering services, ensuring that every MSUan is supported, protected, and prepared for success.

MSU-Maguindanao, led by Chancellor Bai Hejira Limbona and represented by IM Director Dr. Saima S. Maulana, participated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Thammasat University, led by its Rector, Professor Dr. Supasawad Chardchawarn and represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Boonlert Visetpricha, Dean of the Faculty of Sociology and Anthropology, together with the Philippine Center for Islam and Democracy (PCID), on March 26, 2026, held at Thammasat University, Rangsit Center, Pathum Thani, Thailand.

The MoU highlights the shared commitment of both institutions to strengthen academic cooperation in advancing the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda, guided by the four pillars of UN Security Council Resolution 1325. It aims to enhance the DWPS program through initiatives promoting gender equality, social justice, and inclusive peacebuilding.
