The activity formed part of the studentsâ continuing physical fitness, discipline, and endurance training, aimed at developing not only their physical capabilities but also their determination, resilience, teamwork, and readiness for the demands of the criminal justice profession.
The activity commenced with a series of warm-up exercises, allowing the participants to properly prepare their bodies and minds for the physical activities ahead. This was followed by the Criminology Dosen Exercises, which challenged the studentsâ strength, coordination, endurance, and ability to perform various movements with discipline and synchronization.
After completing the preparatory exercises, the cadets and cadettes proceeded with the Roadrun (Jogging) activity, with designated routes assigned according to year level. The 1st-year and 2nd-year students followed the route from the DJEMC Campus to Don Ruben Municipal Gymnasium and back to the DJEMC Campus. Meanwhile, the 3rd-year students took the route from the DJEMC Campus toward Mahayahay/Luna Crossing and back to the DJEMC Campus.
Throughout the activity, the participants displayed perseverance, discipline, and determination as they completed their respective routes. The presence and supervision of the CCJE Program Head and batch advisers further ensured the proper conduct, safety, and organization of the activity, while encouraging the students to push beyond their limits and maintain a strong sense of responsibility toward their physical development.
More than a physical fitness activity, the Roadrun served as a practical avenue for developing endurance, mental toughness, self-discipline, camaraderie, and resilience. These qualities are essential in preparing future criminologists to face the challenges, responsibilities, and demanding nature of the criminal justice profession.
The successful completion of the Roadrun reflected the studentsâ commitment to physical fitness and their willingness to embrace challenges as part of their professional preparation. Every stride taken represented another step toward becoming physically capable, mentally resilient, disciplined, and professionally prepared future criminal justice practitioners.
