Teachers from Diffun District I participated in an online Learning Systems Reform Policies Orientation at the Diffun Central School Integrated SPED Center, strengthening the districtโs preparedness to implement key education reforms and respond effectively to the changing demands of basic education.
The virtual orientation equipped teachers with updated policy guidance on critical reform areas such as assessment, grading and awards, education in emergencies, the three-term school calendar, lesson planning, flexible learning programs, and other emerging education policies that directly influence teaching and learning processes.
Conducted online and participated in by educators from Regions 2, 3, and 9, along with selected Schools Division Offices in Region 11, the activity provided a wider platform for policy alignment, collaborative discussions, and sharing of best practices across different regions.
Education leaders underscored the importance of policy literacy among teachers, emphasizing that a clear understanding of reforms ensures effective classroom implementation, proper learner assessment, and continuity of education during disruptions and emergencies.
The orientation also highlighted the significance of preparing teachers to adapt to reforms in curriculum delivery and school operations, enabling them to navigate changes with clarity while sustaining quality and inclusive learning environment.
For Diffun District I, the online orientation reaffirmed its commitment to empowering teachers with timely knowledge and practical understanding of policies, ensuring that educational reforms are translated into meaningful and responsive classroom practices.
The activity forms part of the continuing efforts of the Department of Education to strengthen reform implementation and build resilient, adaptive, and future-ready learning systems across the country.
