Learner safety remains one of our top priorities, both inside and outside the school grounds.

These will help strengthen road safety awareness within the school vicinity and serve as important reminders for motorists and pedestrians alike to exercise caution, especially in areas frequented by our learners.

Last week, during a monitoring visit of our School Principal at Side 4 Extension School, a potentially hazardous old structure was identified. Considering the recent earthquakes experienced in our area, the structure posed possible risks to both learners and teachers.

Recognizing the need for immediate action, coordination was made with the Side 4 Patrol Base of the Philippine Army to address the concern.

We send our sincere gratitude to the Side 4 Patrol Base, led by SGT. Ronson T. Lucmayon, (NF) PA, Detachment Commander, and his personnel for their prompt response, invaluable assistance, and commitment to community service.

The successful completion of this activity highlights the enduring spirit of bayanihan within our community. We are grateful to our partners who continue to stand with us in ensuring that our learners have a safe and conducive place to learn and grow.

This week, we took another meaningful step toward promoting transparency, accountability, and community engagement through the installation of our new Transparency and Information Board at the school waiting shed.

Strategically located in an area frequented by parents, stakeholders, and community members, the board serves as a readily accessible source of important school information. It features MOOE liquidation reports, SPTA financial reports, Income-Generating Project (IGP) reports, and canteen financial statements, ensuring that school financial updates remain visible and accessible to the public.

Beyond financial transparency, the board also includes several sections designed to strengthen communication and community participation. ๐—ฆ๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—น ๐—•๐˜‚๐˜‡๐˜‡ highlights upcoming activities, events, and important announcements. ๐—™๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—บ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐——๐—ฒ๐˜€๐—ธ ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฆ๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—น ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ถ๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐—น provides messages, updates, reflections, and important information for learners, parents, and stakeholders. ๐—ฃ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜€ ๐—ถ๐—ป ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ด๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€ showcases school programs, projects, and priority needs where partners and community members may extend their support and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our school. This week reminded us that meaningful improvements often begin with recognizing a need and taking action.

Following the monitoring conducted during the opening block at Side 4 Extension School, a shortage of learners' chairs was identified. To address this concern, 25 extra chairs from the main school were immediately sent to the extension school to better support our learners.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Mr. Dexther Alonzo for extending his support and personally helping transport the chairs to the extension school. Acts of kindness such as yours make a meaningful difference in the lives of our learners.

Meaningful conversations, shared goals, and renewed commitments defined this week's activities at Mangayon Elementary School.

We successfully held our first Teacher-Parent Conference and SPTA General Assembly, bringing together parents, teachers, and community leaders in support of our learners. The event also featured the induction of our new SPTA officers and the turnover of responsibilities from the previous set of officers.

We express our sincere gratitude to our outgoing SPTA officers for their committed service and warmly welcome our incoming officers as they begin their leadership journey. We also thank the presence of our Barangay officials led by Hon. Evan L. Fuentes for their support and presence during the activity.

Most importantly, thank you to all our parents for your active participation and continued partnership.

While our opening day was marked by an earthquake that tested our composure and preparedness, it was also made meaningful by the visit of members of Jesus Church Davao, who generously donated school supplies for our learners at Side 4 Extension School. Their kindness served as a powerful reminder that God's blessings often arrive in the midst of life's uncertainties.

The following day, the donated supplies were delivered to our learners at Side 4 Extension School. The visit also provided an opportunity to check on the opening of classes and ensure that our learners and teachers were settling in well as the new school year began. The joy and gratitude expressed by the learners upon receiving their gifts made the journey truly worthwhile.

A new school year often begins with hopes, dreams, and aspirations. For us at Mangayon Elementary School, it also began with a meaningful reminder of faith.

As part of our Monday flag-raising ceremony, one of our learners shared the Bible verse from Nehemiah 8:10: "๐”‡๐”ฌ ๐”ซ๐”ฌ๐”ฑ ๐”ค๐”ฏ๐”ฆ๐”ข๐”ณ๐”ข, ๐”ฃ๐”ฌ๐”ฏ ๐”ฑ๐”ฅ๐”ข ๐”ง๐”ฌ๐”ถ ๐”ฌ๐”ฃ ๐”ฑ๐”ฅ๐”ข ๐”๐”ฌ๐”ฏ๐”ก ๐”ฆ๐”ฐ ๐”ถ๐”ฌ๐”ฒ๐”ฏ ๐”ฐ๐”ฑ๐”ฏ๐”ข๐”ซ๐”ค๐”ฑ๐”ฅ." Little did we know how timely these words would be. Moments later, an earthquake occurred, unexpectedly testing our composure and preparedness. Thankfully, everyone remained safe. In the moments that followed, another prayer was offered, bringing comfort and reassurance to our learners, teachers, and school community. The experience became a powerful reminder that in times of uncertainty, faith can provide peace, courage, and strength.

With God at the center of our school community, we look forward to a new school year filled with learning, growth, purpose, and abundant blessings.
