The school was founded on January 12, 1950.

Abihod Elementary School is the alma matter mostly of Barangay Abejod residents and it molded many successful individuals and professionals who are now residing here and abroad.

What a successful journey!

The National Learning Camp of Abihod Elementary School ( Camp Encantadia) successfully ended with good memories and learnings.

About 120 learners of Abihod ES benefited from the NLC program of the Department of Education. Indeed, this program has helped learners become ready for the incoming school year. Also, this helped them to be socially developed young individuals. Teachers also were able to come up with creative approaches in teaching since the NLC program has to use different approach apart from the traditional classroom teaching.

Learners who were able to complete the 25-day NLC program were awarded the certificate of completion. Highlighting all the efforts and successes, a generous and supportive stakeholder in the person of Mrs. Tess Cagas Tadle sponsored the award for best camper for each camp with bags and school supplies.

Truely, NLC is a very helpful tool in making our learners learn in a fun way.

Abihod Elementary School is beyond grateful for having Mrs. Tess Cagas Tadle as one of our generous stakeholder. Last May 30, 2022 a turn- over ceremony was conducted with the presence of Mrs. Tadle for the turn- over of our School Reading Center which she donated. At the same date, the blessing of the said reading center was also conducted. Present also in the event was Mr. Cris R. Ramirez, the school's previous school head wherein during his time the building was being constructed. It was indeed a momentous event. Abihod Elementary School is forever grateful to Mrs. Tadle for her kindness, generosity and love to the Abihod Elementary learners. As we quote from her speech, "poverty is not a hindrance to success, aim high because you will get there. Always believe in yourself that you can". Thank you so much Maam Tessie may God bless you a hundredfolds😇

LEVEL UP! |Abihod ES always strive for excellence and continue to execute its best practices. Abihod ES would like to extend its gratitude for our SCHOOL-BASED MANAGEMENT (SBM) validators all the way from Cateel-2 District headed by Mrs. Lerma Hatcha. We deeply thank the validators for sharing with us their valuable time, expertise and also by giving us hints and suggestions on how we can improve our SBM and achieve more. Great commendation also for the teachers of Abihod ES headed by Mrs. Alidel P. Gallego for the ideas, efforts and energy rendered which resulted in the success of the evaluation therefore obtaining SBM Level 2. Kudos Abihod ES!

REGIONAL MONITORING|Successfully on April 22, 2022 personnels from DepEd Region XI conducted regional monitoring for the implementation of limited face-to-face classes in our school. Joining them also is our division EPS Mrs. Lasaca together with our Cateel-1 PSDS Mr. Rodilla. This event aims to monitor and promote health and safety of both teachers and learners as schools start to open for limited face-to-face classes during the Covid-19 pandemic. As to the result of the monitoring, our school is indeed very ready in implementing the limited face-to-face classes. Let us all hope and pray that this will continue through time in order for our school and teachers to serve and deliver quality learning to our dear learners.

Office of the Municipal Mayor, EO No. 05 s. 2022- An Executive Order declaring the suspension of classes at all levels both in public and private schools in the municipality of Cateel due to continues rainfall affecting the entire municipality of Cateel, Davao Oriental.

In preparation for the incoming class opening, Abihod Elementary School will start to accept early enrollees for school year 2022-2023 especially for those incoming Kindergarten qnd balik-aral pupils. As to DepEd Memo No. 017 s. 2022, pupils currently enrolled in school from grades 1 to 6 are automatically considered as pre-registered enrollees.

SUCCESS ❗| Abihod Elementary School triumphantly and safely kicked off the start of it's limited face-to-face classes this day, March 21, 2022. Learners, teachers and the community in general were all excited and thankful for the start of face-to-face classes in school. As recalled, it has been over two years wherein conducting face-to-face classes are discouraged due to COVID-19 outbreak. This milestone signals hope that by and by the education sector will be able to provide pure face-to-face classes and that the COVID-19 threats and downhills will be over soon. With this, congratulations everyone for the successful opening of limited face-to-face classes in our school. Stay safe everyone 🤗

SUCCESS❗Last March 3, 2022 Abihod Elementary School warmly welcomed it's evaluators headed by the district's PSDS Mr. Melvin B. Rodilla together with the school heads and some master teachers of Cateel-1 District. The said event aims to provide teachers with technical assistance and to monitor the whole school as well during this time of pandemic. The teachers of Abihod ES are very grateful to the evaluators since this kind of event does not only furnished them with technical assistance, but it also uplifted their teaching spirits and morale to do at their best with the motivation and constructive feedbacks given by the evaluators for the job well done. An Early Christmas Gift🎄🎁
Today, KAP. ANDY MONDAY (center) visited and donated some plastic chairs to Abihod Elementary School. The said plastic chairs will be of great use to our dear learners when face-to-face classes will be permitted soon. These chairs will be utilized by the ICT Room wherein pupils can manipulate the school's PC Tablets in order for them to be equipped with digital literacy skills.
