Kidalapong Master Teachers Complete Instructional Leadership Training

Three Master Teachers of Kidalapong Elementary School successfully completed the training on “Strengthening Instructional Leadership and Supervision among Master Teachers in Davao Occidental” held on September 18–20, 2026, at Hotel de Crisbelle, Digos City.

The participants were Ma’am Nereza B. Calulot, Ma’am Maria Charisma Cabrillas, and Ma’am Jonah Stelle Quimada, who took part in the three-day professional development activity aimed at strengthening instructional leadership and supervision practices among Master Teachers.

The training provided the participants with valuable knowledge and strategies to enhance instructional supervision and support teachers in improving teaching and learning outcomes.

The three Master Teachers extended their sincere gratitude to the Schools Division of Davao Occidental for providing them with the opportunity to participate in the training, which contributed to their continuous professional growth and commitment to quality education.

Bayanihan sa Paaralan Mobilizes Kidalapong Community

Kidalapong Elementary School conducted a Bayanihan sa Paaralan activity on September 12, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., led by the School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA) Officers and School Head Joseph C. Joseph.
Parents from Kinder to Grade 6 actively participated in the activity, working together with teachers to improve and maintain the school surroundings.

The activity highlighted the spirit of cooperation and volunteerism among parents, teachers, and school leaders in supporting a safe and conducive learning environment for learners.

Kidalapong Elementary School Conducts Simultaneous Earthquake Drill

KIDALAPONG, MALITA, DAVAO OCCIDENTAL — Kidalapong Elementary School teachers participated in the Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (SED) on September 10, 2026, at 2:00 in the afternoon as part of the school’s disaster preparedness and safety initiatives.

The drill was conducted during the continuation of the school’s two-day In-Service Training (INSET) and focused on strengthening teachers’ preparedness and proper response during an earthquake.

The activity was spearheaded by School DRRM Coordinator Ma’am Hazel Mae Neri, who guided the teachers in observing appropriate earthquake safety procedures and emergency protocols.

The conduct of the drill aimed to reinforce the importance of preparedness, awareness, and coordinated action in ensuring the safety of the school community during earthquake emergencies.

Kidalapong Elementary School Holds Two-Day In-Service Training

KIDALAPONG, MALITA, DAVAO OCCIDENTAL — Kidalapong Elementary School conducted a two-day In-Service Training (INSET) for teachers on September 10–11, 2026, focusing on strengthening teachers’ understanding of curriculum implementation, competencies, and lesson planning.

The training highlighted three major topics: Understanding the Revised K to 10 Curriculum, Revisiting Competencies through the identification of Untaught, Unmastered, and Least Learned Competencies, and the Instructional Design Framework in Lesson Planning.

Master Teachers Ma’am Nereza B. Calulot, Ma’am Maria Charisma Cabrillas, and Ma’am Jonah Stelle Quimada served as resource speakers and shared their expertise and insights to enhance the teachers’ knowledge and instructional practices.

The two-day activity provided opportunities for teachers to revisit essential competencies and improve their approaches to lesson planning and classroom instruction.

School Head Joseph C. Joseph extended his congratulations to the teachers and organizers for the successful conduct of the two-day training and encouraged everyone to apply the learnings gained from the activity.

The INSET formally concluded with the awarding of certificates to the participating teachers and resource speakers.

Kidalapong Elementary School Holds Second SPTA General Assembly

KIDALAPONG, September 9, 2026 — Kidalapong Elementary School conducted its Second School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA) General Assembly on September 9, 2026, at the Kidalapong Elementary School Covered Court.

The assembly highlighted the distribution of learners’ cards to parents and the follow-up discussion on the implementation of various school programs and activities.

The gathering was spearheaded by School Head Joseph C. Joseph and SPTA President Leonita Araiz, together with the SPTA officers, strengthening the partnership between the school and parents in supporting learners’ development and school initiatives.

Kidalapong Elementary School Conducts School Safety Drill

KIDALAPONG ELEMENTARY SCHOOL — In line with its commitment to promoting a safe and prepared learning environment, Kidalapong Elementary School conducted a School Safety Drill on September 3, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. The activity aimed to strengthen the preparedness, awareness, and appropriate response of learners and school personnel during emergency situations.

Teachers and learners from Key Stage 2 actively participated in the simulation, practicing proper safety procedures and response protocols during an active attack scenario. Meanwhile, teachers and learners from Key Stage 1 observed the activity and were oriented on the appropriate actions to take in case of similar emergencies.

For clarity, no actual attackers were involved or simulated during the drill.

The activity was spearheaded by School DRRM Coordinator Hazel Mae Neri and School Head Joseph C. Joseph, who highlighted the importance of preparedness, vigilance, teamwork, and coordinated response in safeguarding the school community.

Through activities like this, KidES continues to foster a culture of safety, readiness, and resilience, ensuring that every learner and school personnel is better prepared to respond calmly and appropriately during emergencies.
