The Minimum Wage Commission has officially approved South Korea's 2027 minimum wage after marathon negotiations that continued late into the night.

📌 Official 2027 Minimum Wage

Hourly wage: ₩10,700
Increase from 2026: ₩380/hour
Percentage increase: 3.7%
Current (2026): ₩10,320/hour
Effective date: January 1, 2027

🤝 How the Decision Was Reached

The agreement came after 12 rounds of revised proposals during the final negotiation session.

✅️Labor initially demanded ₩12,000/hour.
✅️Employers initially wanted to freeze the wage at ₩10,320.
✅️ After hours of negotiations, the commission approved ₩10,700/hour as the legal minimum wage for 2027.

👷 What This Means for EPS and E-9 Workers

If you are an EPS or E-9 worker in South Korea:

✅ The new minimum wage also applies to you, provided you are covered by the Minimum Wage Act.
✅ Employers cannot legally pay less than ₩10,700 per hour starting January 1, 2027, except in limited situations specifically allowed by Korean law.

This is now the official result of the 2027 minimum wage deliberation, replacing the earlier negotiation updates that Hourly minimum wage set at 10,700 won for 2027, up 3.7 % from this year"

Upang makapag-request ng renewal, kinakailangan pong tiyakin na ang mga sumusunod:
1. Expired na ang validity sa job roster;
2. Valid pa ang EPS Examination (within 2 years after EPS Passer announcement); at
3. Hindi nagkaroon ng employer/contract

𝐏𝐀𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐋𝐀:
• Kung ang isang 𝐄𝐏𝐒 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 ay 𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐤𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐧 𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐭 𝐤𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐚, ang job roster validity ay 𝐚𝐰𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐤𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐤𝐭𝐢𝐛𝐨 hanggang sa mag-expire ang validity ng EPS Examination.

• Ngunit, k̲u̲n̲g ̲h̲i̲n̲d̲i̲ ̲n̲a̲t̲u̲l̲o̲y ̲a̲n̲g ̲a̲pl̲i̲k̲a̲s̲yo̲n̲ ̲d̲a̲h̲i̲l̲ ̲s̲a̲ ̲k̲a̲ga̲ga̲w̲a̲n̲ ̲n̲g ̲a̲pl̲i̲k̲a̲n̲t̲e̲, bilang isang parusa, hindi na maaaring ma-select ng isang Korean employer ang aplikante sa loob ng hindi bababa sa isang taon.
