On June 18, 2026, the Mapรบa Malayan Colleges Mindanao Medical Technology Program conducted an educational tour at the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC). As a course requirement for their Hospital Information System (HIS) subject, the educational tour was conducted to fulfill one of the course's primary objectives: to provide students with firsthand exposure to hospital operations, specialized laboratory information systems, and real-world clinical workflows.
Exploring the inner workings of the regional hospital and observing professionals in action successfully bridged classroom theory with real-world practice, deepening their understanding of patient care and diagnostic outcomes.
