This message resonated throughout the finale episode of ARAL TechTalk Season 1 at Doรฑa Carmen Denia National High School, where educators, school leaders, and learners gathered for an inspiring discussion on innovation, teacher development, and quality education in the digital age.
Hosted by Dr. Jeson J. Reyes, the fifth and final episode highlighted the campaign #๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ด๐ ๐๐ง๐๐๐ฎ๐ธ๐ผ๐ and his educational advocacy Norm ๐ ๐๐ง๐ โ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ถ๐ป๐ถ๐ด, ๐๐ธ๐๐ถ๐ฏ๐ผ, ๐ง๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐ป๐ผ, ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป, encouraging teachers and students to approach learning with confidence, active participation, intelligence, and determination.
The episode featured two distinguished guests: ๐ข๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐น๐น๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ผ, both of whom shared insights on strengthening education through leadership, innovation, and technology.
Superintendent Solitario began by congratulating Davao Cityโs athletes and coaches for their achievements in the Palarong Pambansa. He expressed admiration for the dedication and perseverance of teachers and learners, especially those serving and studying in far-flung communities.
โI am inspired by our teachers and students who continue to give their best despite challenges,โ he shared, extending his greetings and appreciation to educators in even the most distant schools of Davao City.
While recognizing the continuing challenges in education, particularly the need for additional classrooms, Solitario emphasized that solutions are already being pursued through collaborative efforts and proper planning.
As the opening of classes approaches, he assured the public that the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Davao City is prepared for the school opening activities scheduled from June 8 to 11. Necessary assessments and preparations are being conducted, while division personnel continue visiting schools to monitor enrollment, assess readiness, and provide technical assistance.
To strengthen support for schools, Solitario highlighted ongoing professional development programs for teachers, school heads, and education program supervisors. He also announced the deployment of 765 additional Teacher I positions, helping address staffing needs across the division.
One of the major initiatives set to begin in July is the implementation of a central kitchen program for identified isolated schools through a partnership with the local government unit. This initiative aims to strengthen the school-based feeding program and ensure that more learners receive nutritious meals.
Looking ahead to School Year 2026โ2027, Solitario outlined several transformative plans for the division. These include wider integration of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in classrooms, training teachers in the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), distributing more than 3,000 laptops to teachers, procuring smart televisions for schools, and establishing assessment dashboards to better support struggling learners.
โTruly, technology transforms education,โ Solitario emphasized as he discussed the divisionโs vision of modernizing learning environments and educational services.
He also shared plans for the central implementation of ICT systems that will streamline processes from teacher hiring to retirement. Furthermore, he expressed his goal of achieving ISO certification for the Schools Division Office of Davao City by School Year 2026โ2027, reflecting the divisionโs commitment to quality management and continuous improvement.
Solitario also underscored the importance of literacy, stating that the division continues to work toward a vision where every teacher becomes a reading teacher, helping strengthen foundational learning among students.
Complementing the superintendentโs discussion on educational innovation, Dr. Orville Evardo demonstrated practical ways technology can enhance the teaching and learning of Statistics.
Through a live demonstration of Statisty, Dr. Evardo guided viewers through statistical problems and showed how the application can assist both teachers and learners in understanding concepts and solving problems more effectively.
He emphasized that many students develop anxiety toward Statistics because they perceive it as difficult. However, with the right tools, proper guidance, and meaningful applications, learning Statistics can become easier and more engaging.
โStatistics is not hard,โ Dr. Evardo explained. โWith the right applications that can help, students and teachers can better understand data and solve problems with confidence.โ
His presentation reinforced the episodeโs central message that technology is not meant to replace teachers but to empower them and make learning more accessible for every student.
As ARAL TechTalk Season 1 concluded, the discussions from Superintendent Solitario and Dr. Evardo highlighted a common vision: an education system where innovation, technology, and continuous learning work together to support teachers and help learners reach their full potential.
The finale episode served as a powerful reminder that through leadership, commitment, and the responsible use of technology, schools can continue building brighter opportunities for every learner in Davao City.
