Philippine Indigenous Communities Students' Summit 2025

Held last May 21, 2025, the second plenary session of the Philippine Indigenous Communities Students’ Summit (PICSS 2025) spotlighted the vital role of the youth in safeguarding Indigenous Peoples' rights and reshaping education to be more inclusive, empowering, and culturally grounded.

Led by Ron Edward Dulhao, Public Relations Officer of the Ateneo Lumad Students Association, the session inspired attendees to become active defenders of indigenous communities — not just in word, but in lifelong commitment and action.

Held last May 21, 2025, the first plenary session of the Philippine Indigenous Communities Students’ Summit (PICSS 2025) ignited powerful conversations on indigenous identity, cultural preservation, and collective advocacy.

Spearheaded by Dr. Angelo Lenard Yu, Associate Professor at the University of Southeastern Philippines, the session challenged us to reflect on our individual and collective roles in sustaining the rich heritage of Philippine Indigenous Communities — a compelling reminder that meaningful action begins with awareness.
