Application Submission
All applications must be submitted online. Please ensure you have the following documents prepared for upload before starting with your application process:
1. Recent Passport-Sized Photo (JPG format)
2. Scanned Copy of Transcript of Records (PDF format)
3. Certificate of Good Moral Character (PDF format)
Recommendation Letters
Please arrange for at least two references to complete and email their recommendation letters directly to [email protected] by the application deadline. Links to the recommendation letter forms can be found within the online application link. Note: Applications with incomplete requirements will not be processed.
Important Dates
Take note of the schedule for the 2026 Admissions Process:
• 19 April: Deadline for online applications
• 09 May: Graduate Admission Test (in-person; time and venue to be announced via email)
• 06 June: Interviews for successful and waitlisted candidates (online)
• August: Start of AY 2026-2027
Fees
An application fee of PhP 200 and an examination fee of PhP 150 will be collected in cash on the day of the exam.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: The Hyphenated Grant Program is now ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS for 2025.

HYPHENATED GRANT PROGRAM is a scholarship program offered by the Mindanao Japan Science and Technology Platform (MJ STeP), a Japanese NPO corporation, for the UP Mindanao academic, researchers, and administrative personnel to obtain advanced education (MS/PhD) and exposure to Japanese universities to contribute to Mindanao's sustainable development. It supports the following fields of study that contribute to the long-term development of Mindanao's industries: agribusiness, fishing, pharmaceutical and medical industries, manufacturing, ICT industry, engineering, and so on; and areas that contribute to UP Mindanao's innovation initiative programs, technology transfer, and planned Knowledge, Innovation, Science, and Technology (KIST) Park.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS | We are now accepting applications for the MS Food Science program for the first semester AY 2025-2026! Admitted full-time students can apply to the DOST-STRAND scholarship.

The MSFS program aims to train manpower than can lead the food industry in Mindanao, provide technical services to food processors and farmers actively involved in food production, and develop faculty of institutions offering undergraduate courses in Food Technology.
