MINTAL, DAVAO CITY โ August 26, 2026. More than a visit for checking compliance, the recently concluded PAKIG-AMBIT 2026 at Mintal Comprehensive Stand-Alone Senior High School (MCSASHS) became an avenue for reflection, professional dialogue, and renewed commitment to better serve learners.
At the heart of the activity was Rosemarie T. Realino, Education Program Supervisor (EPS) in Araling Panlipunan, whose presence brought focused technical assistance, monitoring, and professional guidance to the school community.
PAKIG-AMBIT goes beyond the traditional notion of supervision. It creates a space where schools can look closely at what they are doing, recognize practices that work, identify areas that need strengthening, and determine the next steps toward continuous improvement.
For MCSASHS, the engagement was an opportunity to pause amid the daily demands of school life and ask an important question: How can the school continue to become better for every learner it serves?
Through the technical assistance provided by EPS Realino, school practices and implementation were examined with a developmental lens. The monitoring process was not merely about finding gaps but about understanding themโand, more importantly, finding ways to address them.
Her guidance underscored the value of collaboration between the school and the Schools Division Office. Technical assistance becomes most meaningful when it translates observations into concrete actions, recommendations into improvements, and challenges into opportunities for growth.
For teachers and school personnel, such an engagement offers more than professional direction. It provides reassurance that they are not working in isolation. Every recommendation becomes a chance to refine practice; every observation becomes a point for reflection; and every task becomes part of a larger commitment to quality education.
The spirit of PAKIG-AMBIT therefore lies not only in its five action wordsโAssess, Monitor, Build-up, Implement, and Taskingโbut in the spirit behind them: working together, learning from one another, and moving forward with purpose.
As MCSASHS continues its journey as a stand-alone senior high school, activities such as PAKIG-AMBIT serve as meaningful checkpoints. They allow the school to recognize its gains while remaining open to areas that require strengthening.
The visit of EPS Rosemarie Realino may have concluded, but the work it inspired continues within the classrooms, offices, and learning spaces of MCSASHS.
Because in education, improvement is never a one-day task. It is a continuing journeyโone assessment, one conversation, one recommendation, and one committed action at a time.
And at MCSASHS, the journey continues.
