𝐎𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐬 𝐎𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐕𝐞𝐭! 🎉🐾

Our one-eyed king has officially been discharged from the vet clinic!

Oldeng is now recovering comfortably at his foster home, where he’s getting plenty of rest, care, and, apparently, chicken. He was fed chicken three times shortly after arriving from the clinic. 𝑹𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒅𝒊𝒆𝒕 𝒅𝒂𝒘. Ahem.

Once he's been cleared by the vet, 𝐡𝐞'𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐩 𝐭𝐨 𝐓𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐦 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐚 he used to hang out with at Kalimudan.

And here’s the best news: thanks to all of Oldeng’s amazing supporters, 𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐯𝐞𝐭 𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬! There’s even some money left over for more chicken—which Oldeng is very much looking forward to. (Again, for recovery purposes😂.)

From all of us—and especially from Oldeng—thank you to everyone who donated, shared his story, sent messages, and rooted for him every step of the way. 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐠𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐛𝐨𝐲 𝐚 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, and we can't wait to see him start this new chapter.

𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸: 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗖𝗦𝗠 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝘀 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗱 🐈🐾

While we’ve been caring for Oldeng and finding loving homes for our Admin dogs, one of our amazing faculty members quietly sponsored the spaying of three CSM cats—Gloria, Belinda, and Mimi—in partnership with The Fur Society.

Such act of compassion prevents kittens from being born into difficult circumstances and supporting humane stray population management on campus through CNR (Catch-Neuter-Return).

𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀! 🎉 𝗢𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗴'𝘀 𝗲𝘆𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀!

Our brave boy is recovering well and is expected to be discharged tomorrow. ❤️

Because Oldeng is a big boy (almost 20 kg!), his surgery and confinement costs are higher than expected. Thanks to his incredible sponsors, we've already raised P15,000.

Unfortunately, his total veterinary bill is now estimated to reach P20,000, 𝘀𝗼 𝘄𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗣5,000 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.

If you can spare even a small amount, please help Oldeng settle his vet bill. (Poor guy is only 5 years old and already in debt. 😭)

Every donation, share, and kind word helps bring him one step closer to a healthy, pain-free life.

P.S. The staff at the clinic reports that Oldeng is a certified attention seeker even post-surgery—he's been whining nonstop for pets and cuddles. 🥹

🚨 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗢𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗴 🐾

We wish this update were happier.

Because of all of Oldeng's amazing supporters, we've raised ₱6,604 less than two days. Thank you for showing up for him.

Your donations covered Oldeng's blood tests, blood chemistry, X-rays, and other diagnostics, totaling ₱5,200. He passed them all with flying colors.

But we received heartbreaking news.

Oldeng's injured eye cannot be saved. The veterinarian has recommended 𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗲𝘆𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘆) to prevent further pain and infection. 𝗛𝗲'𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗲𝘁 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘄, waiting for his turn in surgery.

𝗪𝗲 𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲 ₱10,000 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿:

🩺 Eye removal surgery (₱6,000–7,000)
🏥 Post-operative confinement and medications

Please help us give Oldeng a chance to live without pain—and to arrive at his new home healthy and safe.

Every peso counts. Every share helps. 💛

🚨 𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐎𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐠 🐾

Oldeng is finally getting his chance at a forever home in Tagum—but first, we need to help him get there.

When one of his weekend caretaker (and temporary foster) put him on air jail yesterday, Oldeng didn't fight back. He simply cooperated, as if he knew he is going somewhere safe.

But our relief quickly turned into worry.

𝐖𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐎𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐞𝐲𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 of some sorts. Before he can travel to his new home, where a kind UPMin alumna has opened their home to him, he needs urgent veterinary diagnosis and treatment.

We don't want Oldeng's first day in his new home to begin with pain. We want him to arrive healthy, comfortable, and ready for a new life.

We’re asking for your help.

Every peso will go toward Oldeng's veterinary consultation, medicines, and treatment. 🩺

All donations will be received and managed by our partner organization, Youth For Animals - UP Mindanao.

🚨 𝙐𝙍𝙂𝙀𝙉𝙏: 𝙋𝙇𝙀𝘼𝙎𝙀 𝙃𝙀𝙇𝙋 𝙎𝘼𝙑𝙀 𝙊𝙇𝘿𝙀𝙉𝙂!

Oldeng is one of our sweetest and most social Admin dogs. He is 𝙧𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙚𝙨-𝙫𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙, 𝙛𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙡𝙮 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙙𝙤𝙜𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧 𝙙𝙤𝙜𝙨—we call him our “foster dad” because he always takes puppies under his wing.

With the recent dog impounding notice, 𝘄𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗢𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗯𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁. He is already slowing down with age and desperately needs a safe place to call home.

🙏 Please help us find Oldeng a foster or forever home.

🏠 We can deliver him anywhere in Davao.

Can't foster or adopt? Please share. Your share could be what saves Oldeng.

Please don't let this gentle old boy get left behind.

🚨 𝐔𝐑𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐋: 𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐔𝐬 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐞𝐝

𝐖𝐞'𝐯𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐠 𝐩𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝.

Last week, SOM1 and Liblib found their forever homes. Now, only Ted is still waiting—and we're hoping someone can open their home to her before it's too late.

Ted is one of the friendliest dogs in our Admin pack. She loves people, gets along well with other dogs, and will do well in a home with canine companions.

Ted is:
- Spayed
- Vaccinated against rabies
- Very social and dog-friendly

If you have space in your home and heart, please consider adopting Ted. We can deliver her anywhere in Davao City.

If you can't adopt, please share this post. It could help Ted find the safe home she deserves.

𝐔𝐑𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐋: 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐔𝐬 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐨𝐠𝐬

We’re reaching out with a heavy heart.

Following a recent incident, we have been asked to find homes for all of the Admin Building dogs. Under existing government regulations, 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒎𝒂𝒍𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒎𝒂𝒚 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒘𝒊𝒔𝒆 𝒃𝒆 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒅𝒐𝒈 𝒑𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅.

As the friendliest and most social dogs in the Admin pack, we’re hoping to find loving homes for Liblib, SOM1, and Ted first. They are affectionate adult dogs who are spayed/neutered and vaccinated against rabies.

If you have room in your home and heart, please consider adopting one of them. 𝐖𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐨 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲.

If you can’t adopt, 𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐛𝐲 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭. Every share gives them a better chance at a safe home.

📣 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐛 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐎𝐌1 📣

Sadly, Liblib and her bestie, SOM1, had to return to campus after their new home setup did not work out as hoped. While they adjusted well in many ways, both dogs were found to chase cats—and since their new house had many, it became unsafe for everyone involved.

As heartbreaking as this is, the experience helped us better understand the kind of home where they would truly thrive:
🐾 A home with a fenced yard
🐾 A cat-free environment (other dogs are absolutely okay!)
🐾 A family who can provide proper food and vet care

Both Liblib and SOM1 are spayed/neutered and vaccinated against rabies. They are incredibly social dogs who love both people and fellow dogs. Liblib, especially, would choose affection and cuddles over food any day. 🥹

We would love for them to be adopted together, but they can also be adopted separately. During their time apart, SOM1 showed that he can adjust well on his own too.

Send us a message if you’re interested in adopting a campus dog! 🐾We can personally transport them anywhere within Davao City to help them safely get to their new home.

They’ve already gone through so much—we’re hoping their next home will finally be their forever one. 🤍
