HANDS OFF OUR SCHOOL ‼️

The University of Mindanao must remain a place for education, open discussion, and responsible student journalism not a platform for political radicalization.

We oppose any attempt to influence student publications with extremist ideologies, including those linked to groups like the NPA.

Student publications should represent the voices of students, not promote a one-sided political narrative. Press freedom matters... but so do fairness, balance, and accountability.

If national issues are discussed, then all relevant issues should be covered NOT JUST SELECTIVE ONES.

Why is the focus always on Duterte?
Where are the reports about the “maleta” issue?
Where is the coverage on the flood control issue and how public funds are being used?

Students deserve balanced reporting and honest journalism and NOT SELECTIVE STORYTELLING.

So we ask:
Are you truly the voice of the students, or a platform for political agendas?

Our campus deserves a publication that informs, educates, and fairly represents the student body.

Hands off our school!
