This policy outlines the proper use of mobile phones and other personal electronic devices in schools, aiming to strike a balance between supporting learning and maintaining discipline and safety.

🔑 Policy Direction
Mobile phones are not completely prohibited, but their use is strictly regulated.
They should only be used in ways that support learning and follow school rules.

🚫 When Use is NOT Allowed
• During class without the teacher’s consent
• During examinations and assessments
• When it leads to distraction, cheating, or disruption
• When used for bullying, unauthorized recording, or any form of misconduct

✅ When Use is Allowed
• For educational activities such as research and digital tasks
• In emergency situations
• When permitted and supervised by the teacher

🏫 Responsibilities of Schools
• Establish clear, school-based guidelines
• Inform learners and parents about proper phone use
• Promote responsible and safe digital practices
• Apply rules fairly and consistently

👩‍🏫 Role of Teachers
• Monitor and manage phone use in the classroom
• Use technology effectively to enhance learning
• Ensure rules are followed at all times

🎓 Responsibilities of Learners
• Use mobile phones responsibly and respectfully
• Follow all school and classroom policies
• Respect others’ privacy and avoid misuse

⚖️ Disciplinary Measures
• Must follow positive and non-violent approaches
• Confiscation should be temporary and properly recorded
• Learners’ rights must always be respected
