𝑼𝑷𝑪𝒀𝑳𝑬𝑫 𝑪𝑶𝑼𝑻𝑼𝑹𝑬 (1𝒔𝒕 𝒓𝒖𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒓 𝒖𝒑)🥈: This upcycled denim design is inspired by the waling-waling, the flower of Davao City, telling a story of sacrifice. Frayed layers and soft folds reflect the beauty of blooming but at the cost of loss. It captures the bittersweet journey of a flower that grew strong yet carries the weight of what it left behind, with pearls that left to cry.

𝑭𝑼𝑻𝑼𝑹𝑰𝑺𝑻𝑰𝑪 𝑪𝑶𝑼𝑻𝑼𝑹𝑬 (𝑭𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒕)🎖️: "𝑯𝒖𝒏𝒈𝒉𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒂 𝑲𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒃𝒂𝒏" Represents the Walis tambo and Banig. These materials are not just traditional; they also symbolize Filipino artistry and cultural heritage. Transformed into an outfit, they represent the harmony and tradition found in Filipino households. Like the chimes they resemble, the attire embodies the spirit of unity and sustainability. This creation reflects every Filipino's dedication to preserving their rich cultural identity.

The runway has been transformed into a showcase of sustainable fashion, featuring flowing denim and fishnet generously donated by Section Belo. These materials are enhanced with pearls taken from old curtains and finished with lace, symbolizing the strength of ocean waves. The waling-waling flower, a proud symbol of Davao’s natural beauty, adds a special touch to this artistic display of sustainability. Each piece demonstrates the power of repurposing, highlighting the beauty that comes from giving old denim a new purpose.
