Holy Cross of Mintal, Inc. proudly marks the successful conclusion of the 2026 MAPEH Dance Recital, held last February 13, 2026. In observance of National Arts Month, the MAPEH Department led a vibrant celebration centered on the theme: "Ani ng Sining: Katotohanan at Giting" (Harvest of the Arts: Truth and Valor).
True to the theme, the presentations were deeply rooted in Katotohanan (Truth), reflecting the richness of our cultural identity and required Giting (Valor) as learners stood before the community to express that truth through the power of movement.

In line with this, all institutional activities,including the Mock Accreditation will be rescheduled on Feb. 23 accordingly.

February 17, 2026 (Tuesday) is declared a Special (Non-Working) Holiday nationwide in celebration of the Chinese New Year. (NO CLASS)
February 25, 2026 (Wednesday) is a Special Working Holiday nationwide in observance of the EDSA People Power Anniversary. (NO CLASS)

The Holy Cross of Mintal STEM learners recently ventured beyond the classroom for an immersive field trip that brought science and history to life. The journey spanned the Davao Medical School Museums, where they explored the complexities of human biology, and the Bone Museum, which offered a fascinating look at animal evolution and skeletal structures. By also visiting the Davao Museum, students were able to bridge the gap between their scientific studies and the rich cultural and historical context of their community.
The day was designed to foster curiosity and connection, balanced with moments of bonding and relaxation at People’s Park. These experiences reinforced the idea that learning is a dynamic, lifelong journey that extends well beyond textbooks.
Ultimately, the trip served as a powerful reminder that STEM education thrives when students step into the real world to see how science, history, and life intersect.

History
Holy Cross of Mintal has been existing and serving the community for 60 years (in 2019) with the constant goal to give quality Christian Education to the youth. Such goal has propelled the school community to search and explore possibilities of development to respond to the call for quality Christian Education. Major areas of development such as Instruction, Administrative and Faculty Development, Student Services, and Physical Plant are being done intensely to give quality service to its growing population. Looking at the panoramic view of Holy Cross of Mintal, Inc., there are two old buildings at the center which are used as classrooms, Grade School Library, Campus Ministry, Community Extension’s Office, and Chapel. Other facilities such as the School Canteen, School Supply Center, Livelihood Center, Physics Laboratory, High School Library, and Computer Laboratory are at the two-storey building in front of the Covered Court. Under the Covered Court Stage is the Audio-Visual Room for both High School and Grade School Departments. The Marie Rivier building was built where the Administrative Offices, Faculty Room and High School classrooms with Comfort Rooms for Boys and Girls, Guidance 4 and Testing Center, Chemistry Laboratory. Attached to this building is the Technology and Livelihood Education Laboratory. In 2015, a three-storey building named as Pontanier Building was constructed to respond to the needs of the school since the Philippine Education has shifted its paradigm into K to 12 Curriculum. The school felt a big need to upgrade its facilities especially its classrooms and provision for the Senior High School facilities. There are 6 classrooms in each floor. The first and second floor classrooms are presently used by the Grade School and the third floor by the Senior High School. On the same year, the Grade School Department underwent PAASCU Accreditation in order to assess its operations and facilities if it has met certain standards. The department was able to pass the preliminary visit and was granted Candidate Status. After complying the recommendations for one year, the Grade school department submitted itself to a Formal Visit and was granted Level I PAASCU Accreditation in July 2018. The Junior High School Department also went through a preliminary visit last January 2018 and was granted Candidate Status by PAASCU last July 2018. Holy Cross of Mintal, Inc. continues its mission to provide quality Christian education to its clientele inspired by the spirit and virtues of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Blessed Marie Rivier.
