[𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦] We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the team behind the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST - PCAARRD) funded project, “Development of Traceability System for Cacao in Southern Philippines,” consisting of team members Dr. Rey A. Castillo, Dr. Gilbert M. Gordo, Ms. Vera Kim S. Tequin, Ms. Rizamae S. P***n, Ms. Hazel Mae M. Limbago-Villa, Mr. Justine Johannes P. Doot, and Mr. Ronmar John S. Sabado, for winning 1st Runner-Up for Best Paper at the Philippine Agricultural Economics and Development Association (PAEDA) Conference in Baybay City, Leyte, held on December 3-5, 2024. Their paper has truly showcased innovation and excellence in agricultural research and technology.

A special recognition is also due to Dr. Rey A. Castillo, who was honored as Best Oral Presenter for his outstanding presentation and delivery during the event.

These achievements highlight the dedication and teamwork of the project team, along with the continuous support from the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP). DOST-PCAARRD, and the local partner, Biao Agrarian Reform Benefeciaries Cooperative (BARBCO). We are incredibly proud of this accomplishment, which truly reflects the shared
commitment to advancing agricultural research and technology.

[JANUARY 15, 2024] The Project Management Team led by the Project Leader, Dr. Daisy Besing presented the terminal report on the Feasibility Study of Integrating Monkayo College of Arts, Sciences and Technology (MonCAST) as one of the campuses of Davao de Oro State College (DDOSC). Dr. Aristeo C. Salapa presented the report to the Municipal Officials of Monkayo led by Mayor Manuel “Way Kurat” E. Zamora, Sangguniang Bayan Members, and MonCAST Delegation led by Dr. Gary P. Lagatiera and 1st District representative Maricar S. Zamora. Also present with the team are study leaders: Dr. Rey Castillo, Dr. Jonathan Gano-an and Geologist Christian Paul Escarian.
