Conflicting interests among the early tribes and polities in the archipelago made quite easy for European colonizers to establish control over key polities in Luzon and Visayas.
Frankly, they slowly conquered the archipelago by sowing division. Lured with the promise of power and gold, certain warring tribes from Visayas were too eager to help the conquistadors, de Goiti and Salcedo, conquer Manila—not knowing that they too, the Visayans, would also end up enslaved by the very foreign kingdom they assisted.

Here are some screenshots from Lesson 7 of Bright Minds, Helpful Hands.
Many Filipinos want a clean and progressive country. To achieve that, we need to start the right discipline inside the home.
• Teaching children to segregate waste helps them develop responsibility at an early age.
• When children learn to separate biodegradable, recyclable, and non-recyclable waste, they understand how their actions affect the environment.
• In the Philippines, proper waste segregation helps reduce flooding because it prevents trash from clogging canals and drainage systems.
• It also supports recycling and composting, which reduces the amount of garbage sent to landfills.
• Children who practice waste segregation at home are more likely to bring these good habits to school and their community.
• By teaching our children today, we help build a cleaner, healthier, and more responsible Philippines for the future.
