📖🙏❤️ Devotional time with the Word.

PRIDE BEFORE DESTRUCTION!

Key Verse:
“Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.”
— Proverbs 16:18
🙌Reflection:
Pride quietly tells the heart, “I can do this without God.”
It can begin with confidence in our own wisdom, position, accomplishments, or abilities. But when we place ourselves above God and refuse correction, pride can lead us toward a fall.

God doesn't call us to think less of ourselves; He calls us to humble ourselves before Him.
📖 Biblical Examples:
1. King Nebuchadnezzar — Daniel 4:29–37
He looked at his kingdom and proudly declared what he had accomplished. God humbled him until he acknowledged that the Most High rules over the kingdoms of men.
➡️ Pride says: “Look what I have built.”
➡️ Humility says: “Everything I have comes from God.”

2. King Uzziah — 2 Chronicles 26:16–21
Uzziah became powerful, but when he became strong, his heart became proud. He overstepped God's appointed boundaries and was disciplined.
➡️ Success without humility can become a spiritual danger.

3. Haman — Esther 3–7
Haman's pride and desire for honor led him into a plan against God's people. In the end, the very honor he sought could not save him from his downfall. He fell on his own trap.
➡️ Pride seeks glory for self; humility leaves room for God.

❤️ Application:
Let us ask ourselves:
“Lord, is there an area of my life where I am depending more on myself than on You?”
Maybe it's our achievements.
Maybe our position.
Maybe our knowledge.
Maybe even our plans for the future.
Before God allows a fall, may He give us a heart willing to listen, receive correction, and say:
“Lord, without You, I can do nothing.” 🙏

🙏 Prayer:
Father, keep my heart humble before You.
When success comes, remind me that You are the source.
When I am corrected, give me grace to listen.
When I am tempted to depend on myself, teach me to depend on You.
Let my life never be built on pride, but on obedience, gratitude, and Your grace.
In Jesus' name, Amen. ❤️

Pride makes us trust ourselves. Humility makes us trust God.

🦉💙 Devotional time na tayo. ☕
🌟 Choosing Light Over
Darkness
📖 John 8:12
“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
May mga araw na parang mas madaling manatili sa dilim—kapag pagod tayo, disappointed, confused, o hindi natin alam kung ano ang susunod na hakbang.
Pero hindi tayo tinawag ni Jesus na hanapin ang daan nang mag-isa. He Himself is the Light.
Choosing light doesn't mean we never experience darkness. It means we choose to follow Christ even when the way is not yet clear.

Kapag may bitterness, piliin ang forgiveness.
Kapag may fear, piliin ang faith.
Kapag may discouragement, piliin ang hope.
Kapag may temptation to give up, remember that God is still working.
Ephesians 5:8 reminds us that once we were darkness, but now we are light in the Lord—so we are called to walk as children of light.

Tonight's reminder:
You don't have to understand everything before you take the next step. Sometimes, God gives enough light for the next step, not the whole journey.
So tonight, let us pray:
🙏 “Lord Jesus, You are my Light. When darkness surrounds me, help me not to be overcome by it. Give me wisdom to choose what is right, courage to walk in Your ways, and faith to trust You even when I cannot see what lies ahead. Let Your light shine through my words, choices, and life. Amen.”

☕📖 🦉 Devotional:
Grace is one of those words that sounds soft until you realize how deep it actually is.

It's not a reward for getting it right. It's the decision of God to give favor where it wasn't earned, and to keep giving it.
What makes grace? Grace
It's unmerited: In Christian understanding, grace isn't a paycheck. Ephesians 2:8,9puts it plainly — "by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God so no one can boast." You receive saving grace upon believing. That's not even your faith but God's grace saved you.

It's available before you ask for it: Theologians call this prevenient grace — the grace that goes before. Titus 2:11 says "the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people." Before any prayer, any change, the door is already open.

It doesn't leave you the same: Grace forgives, but it also forms. It doesn't say "stay as you are," it says "you don't have to stay as you are to be loved, and because you are loved, you can become new." The proof of His love was His death on the cross for our redemption from sin. That cross, His forgiveness!

Why "for everyone" matters so much. If grace were for the elect few, it would not require man's decision. If it's for everyone who believes, it's a gift. God gives everyone the freedom and choice!

That means:
• No one is too far. Past mistakes, long seasons away, things you regret — they don't disqualify you from the offer. • No one is too ordinary. It's not just for big dramatic testimonies. It's for the quiet, everyday moments too, like sharing coffee at a table and finding a reason to smile. • No one gets to keep it. If God makes it available to all, we don't get to decide who is in and who is out.
Romans 5:8 captures that spirit: love shown while we were still imperfect, not after we cleaned ourselves up.

How it shows up day to day:
Most people experience grace not as a lightning bolt, but as small mercies that keep coming:
• a second chance after a failure • peace when you expected panic
• the strength to forgive someone, or to ask for forgiveness
• provision that arrives right on time
Talking about grace is really talking about how you see the world — that even on hard days, there is still favor, still kindness, still an invitation to begin again.

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved! eternally, Amen! Acts 16:31 John 3:37
