Congratulations, SASEd pre-service teachers! We are very proud of you all!

The School of Teacher Education (STE) of the Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) commenced its pinning ceremony with the theme “Cultivating wisdom with patience, igniting dreams with passion, and building a better world through service," on January 27, 2025, for its 245 fourth-year students ready to take their academic learning to practical experiences.

During the speech of HCDC's pride Monique Dela Corta, who topped 6 in the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) of the 2022 Licensure Examinations for Teachers, she shared the significance of 'God's perfect timing' and the essence of preparation in the experience of being an aspiring professional teacher.

The whole HCDC community extends its high hopes for the success of our STE interns. God bless, students!

𝙅𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙜𝙤𝙩 𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙙! | On January 27, 2025, the Holy Cross of Davao College School of Teacher Education celebrated a momentous occasion at the HCDC Gymnasium as 17 fourth-year Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science students marched down the aisle for their pinning ceremony. This significant event marked their transition into full-fledged pre-service teachers, officially recognizing their dedication and commitment to the teaching profession. With the core values of patience, passion, and service at the heart of their journey, the ceremony emphasized the importance of faith and truth as these future educators step into their teaching roles, committed to holistically shaping the minds of tomorrow.

Celebrating excellence this season as all five of Crosscience - HCDC proud graduates have achieved their goal of becoming licensed secondary science teachers!

Congratulations to the Holy Cross of Davao College Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science program for posting a 100% passing rate in the September 2024 Board Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers!

Meanwhile, the college has also garnered an 81.38% passing rate for the secondary level and 86.67% for the elementary level, respectively.

𝗣𝗨𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗖 𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧

The scheduled final oral defense for the undergraduate thesis advisees of Marbhen Dominique O. Abendaño, MAEd, under the Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science program, will happen on Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The venue will be the 2nd Floor of Mabutas Hall Building at Holy Cross of Davao College, with Room 201 designated as the defense room and Room 202 as the waiting room. This defense will involve students enrolled in the Research in Teaching Science (SCI 312 STE) course for the first semester of the Academic Year 2024-2025. The panel of examiners for the defense will be John Mart Elesio, EdD, chairman, Louie A. Banate, MAEd, who will serve as the method expert, and Rhys Lloyd D. Lacia, MAEd, who will serve as the content expert. As part of the course requirement and in fulfillment of their baccalaureate degree, this defense is a fundamental step for BSED-Science students' academic journey.
