Today, February 25, 2026, we commemorated the 40th Anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution here at Assumption College of Davao. 🇵🇭
Grateful to our KASAMA Student Council for the invitation that brought the SIKLAB family and the student body together in remembrance and resistance. Through our short plays Ukoy-Ukoy and Tatsulok, we did more than perform. We reclaimed history.
We retold the story of a people who faced tanks with courage, dictatorship with solidarity, and fear with collective faith in democracy.
EDSA was not just a moment in 1986. It was—and remains—a people’s assertion that power belongs to the masses, not to tyrants. As artists and students, we carry the responsibility to question, to remember, and to act.
May we continue to raise critical minds, amplify silenced voices, and defend the freedoms that were fought for in the streets of EDSA. The struggle for justice did not end in 1986—and neither should our vigilance.
People power lives when we choose to stand, speak, and create. ✊

Tonight was not just a concert. It was resistance through joy. It was remembrance through art. It was a community choosing to gather, sing, and stand together.
The “Living and Dying” Concert for Fr. Pops reminded us that celebrating a life also means continuing the work that life stood for. The music filled the space, but so did purpose. Every note and every step on stage felt like a declaration that we are here, we care, and we will keep going.
To our powerful SIKLAB performers, you did more than perform. You carried the message.
To the Himig Assumptionista, your music held stories of struggle and hope.
To every group who shared your voice, thank you for showing that art moves people and shapes consciousness.
And to our Lumad brothers and sisters, your presence grounded this night in solidarity and shared strength.
Yes, we danced. Yes, we laughed. But we also remembered that joy in community is powerful. Gathering across backgrounds and sectors is how we protect culture, amplify voices, and build movements that endure.
To celebrate Fr. Pops is to live boldly, love fiercely, and commit to justice with courage.
Grateful for a night that felt alive with meaning and collective hope. ✊🏽🤍

SIKLAB Special Performance during PASKUHAN 2025 ❤️❤️❤️
Last December 18, SIKLAB took the PASKUHAN stage to remind everyone of the true essence of Christmas—not material things, but the collective dreams of the Filipino people. Through the voices of workers, farmers, women, youth, and the urban poor, our performance echoed hopes for dignity, justice, and a life of genuine care for all.
More than a performance, it was a call for solidarity and compassion. May this spirit of PASKUHAN live on as we continue to stand with the people and carry their dreams beyond the stage.
