𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐋 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐓𝐇 𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐓𝐘

In observance of Su***de Prevention Month this September, Little Haven Psychological Services conducted mental health activities at Leon Garcia Sr. National High School for Batch 01 Peer Facilitators which included group counseling sessions.

The activities promoted mental health awareness, open communication, peer support and a safe and supportive environment for learners.

𝑳𝑮𝑺𝑵𝑯𝑺 𝑺𝑷𝑭𝑳 𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒋𝒐𝒊𝒏 𝑲𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒏 𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒖𝒂𝒈𝒆 𝒊𝒎𝒎𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎

Strengthening their language and cultural competencies, two Special Program in Foreign Language (SPFL) Korean Language teachers of LGSNHS, Sir Gleen Mark Sadili and Sir Oriel Estrera participated in the Local Immersion Program for Selected SPFL Teachers – Korean Language held at the Korean Cultural Center of the Philippines (KCCP) in Taguig City from September 7–11, 2026.

The five-day program provided the participants with meaningful exposure to Korean language, culture and educational practices through a series of activities. These included Korean language, traditional painting, K-Pop dance, traditional dance and Korean food workshops, as well as a Korean movie screening and KCC Book Talk. The teachers also participated in a campus tour and classroom observation at the Korean International School Philippines.

The immersion concluded with presentation of outputs, mock lesson demonstration, feedback, reflection and lesson design and action plan activities, allowing the participants to connect their learning and experiences to classroom practice. The program supports the continued strengthening of SPFL Korean Language instruction through meaningful integration of language and culture.

A two-day School-Based In-Service Training (INSET) brings teachers together for meaningful learning, collaboration and professional growth on September 10–11, 2026.

The activity provides an opportunity to share ideas, learn from one another and strengthen practices in preparation for another productive school year.

Learning together, growing together and becoming better educators for our learners.

𝑼𝑵𝑰𝑻 𝑰𝑰 𝑴𝑬𝑬𝑻 2026

The Unit II Meet 2026 officially brings together student-athletes at Leon Garcia Sr. National High School in a celebration of athletic excellence, discipline and sportsmanship. The competition features Wrestling, Wushu, Kickboxing and Weightlifting, where participants demonstrate their skills, strength and determination.

More than a competition, the event provides an opportunity for athletes to develop discipline, respect, teamwork and confidence while representing their respective teams with pride.

𝑩𝑶𝑴𝑩 𝑻𝑯𝑹𝑬𝑨𝑻 𝑨𝑾𝑨𝑹𝑬𝑵𝑬𝑺𝑺 𝑺𝑬𝑴𝑰𝑵𝑨𝑹

To strengthen safety awareness, preparedness and appropriate response to potential threats, the School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Team conducted a Bomb Threat Awareness Seminar on September 4, 2026 (Friday).

The seminar was facilitated by resource speakers from the AOD K-9 Explosive Ordnance Disposal Canine Unit—PMSg Erwin Moreno, PMSg Marvin Elio and PCpl Ryan Roy Serenio—who shared their expertise on bomb threat awareness and safety protocols.

The activity equipped participants with essential knowledge on safety measures and appropriate emergency response, reinforcing a culture of vigilance and preparedness within the school community.
