IN PHOTOS | Ateneo de Davao Junior High School Celebrates International Day of Mathematics 2026
The Ateneo de Davao University Junior High School Mathematics Department participated in the International Day of Mathematics (IDM) 2026, bringing together students and teachers through a series of activities centered on mathematical exploration, collaboration, and creative problem-solving.
The activities included a Sci Damath Crash Course, Sci Damath Competition, Tower of Hanoi and Tower of Stockmeyer competitions, and a Tilings Competition, providing students with opportunities to apply mathematical concepts through team-based challenges and hands-on activities. The program also included an exhibit showcasing the activities conducted throughout the celebration.
As part of the international dimension of the program, the activities created opportunities for participants to engage with the broader global mathematics community and develop intercultural awareness, global citizenship, leadership, and collaborative skills through shared mathematics experiences.
The University’s participation in IDM reflects its commitment to connecting mathematical learning with international engagement and the formation of students who are prepared to contribute to an increasingly interconnected world.

The Philippine-American Educational Foundation (PAEF) invites applications for the 2027-2028 Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Program, offering an opportunity for qualified English-language teachers to gain international teaching experience in the United States.
The nine-month program offers Filipino educators the opportunity to serve as Filipino-language teaching assistants at leading universities in the United States while gaining valuable teaching experience, sharing Filipino culture, and developing their skills as global educators.

IN PHOTOS | Taiwan Academic and Research Collaboration Visit
The Ateneo de Davao University - School of Engineering and Architecture conducted an academic and research visit to Taiwan from 3 to 5 August 2026, represented by Engr. Edu Daryl C. Maceren, PhD.
The visit brought together academic and industry perspectives through discussions with Prof. Chun-Yao Lee of the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) and Dr. Le Truong An of Thu Dau Mot University (TDMU). Discussions focused on expanding international research collaboration, graduate education opportunities, and the development of a proposed multi-institutional project on AI-based motor fault diagnosis.
The proposed collaboration brings together the research capabilities of Ateneo de Davao University and Prof. Lee’s research laboratory, with opportunities to involve LAD-Training and Certification Inc. (LAD-TCI) as an industry partner. The collaboration also explores joint research, graduate student supervision, scholarship opportunities, international publications, and the potential development of technologies for industry applications.
The delegation also visited NTUST and participated in academic and fellowship activities with faculty, researchers, and graduate students. These engagements provided opportunities to strengthen professional relationships, exchange research perspectives, and explore directions for continued academic cooperation.
The visit further strengthened Ateneo de Davao University’s international research network while opening opportunities for graduate education, research collaboration, industry engagement, and innovation.

IN PHOTOS | ADD-ALL Learning Visits to Singapore Management University and Dhurakij Pundit University
The Ateneo de Davao Academy of Lifelong Learning (ADD-ALL) conducted learning visits to Singapore Management University (SMU) in Singapore on 8 June 2026 and Dhurakij Pundit University (DPU) in Thailand on 12 June 2026.
During the visits, the ADD-ALL team engaged with representatives from SMU and DPU to learn more about their approaches to continuing education, program management, and international partnerships. The discussions provided insights into how fellow Southeast Asian universities develop programs that respond to the changing needs of learners and the world of work.
The visits also offered an opportunity for the ADD-ALL team to exchange ideas and explore practices that may help inform the Academy’s continuing development of lifelong learning programs.
This initiative supports the Ateneo de Davao University’s commitment to forming discerning and adaptive leaders who value continuous learning and are prepared to respond to an evolving global environment.

LOOK | Visit of the Hamamatsu Nittai Junior & Senior High School Delegation
The Ateneo de Davao University welcomed the delegation of Hamamatsu Nittai Junior & Senior High School from Hamamatsu City, Japan, for a meaningful educational and cultural exchange on 11 August 2026. The delegation included representatives from different sectors of Hamamatsu City, a sister city of Davao City, bringing together shared interests in education, culture, community, and international engagement.
The visit brought the delegates across Ateneo’s different academic levels, where they were introduced to the University’s academic programs, student formation initiatives, campus life, and learning environments. Discussions also highlighted shared interests in sports, leadership, community engagement, environmental sustainability, and holistic student development.
Through campus tours, presentations, and conversations with members of the Ateneo community, the delegation gained a glimpse into the educational experience at Ateneo de Davao while sharing aspects of their own school community and culture.
The University extends its appreciation to the Hamamatsu Nittai delegation and the different Ateneo units who contributed to the visit. The engagement provided a meaningful opportunity to foster cross-cultural understanding, strengthen institutional ties, and open possibilities for continued collaboration between the two institutions.

The Ateneo Internationalization for Mindanao (AIM) Office, together with the School of Arts and Sciences - Social Sciences Cluster, the International Studies Department, and the Political Science and History Department, welcomed Mr. Martin Macalintal, Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of France to the Philippines and Micronesia, for an International Learning Session at Ateneo de Davao University.
During the session, Mr. Macalintal delivered the lecture, "French Kiss: Cultural Appreciation or Appropriation?", inviting students and faculty to reflect on culture, identity, and cross-cultural understanding through the lens of cultural diplomacy.
The University extends its sincere appreciation to Mr. Macalintal for this meaningful engagement and looks forward to continued opportunities for collaboration.

The Embassy of France to the Philippines and in Micronesia, in partnership with the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) and the Cinémathèque Centre Davao, invites the Ateneo de Davao University community to the 28th French Film Festival, to be held on 30–31 July 2026 at the FDCP Cinémathèque Centre Davao.
