The University of Southeastern Philippines Administration acknowledges and appreciates the initiative of the Graduating Class of 2026, through the United Statistics Students Organization and in collaboration with the student councils and student publications across campuses, in gathering the sentiments, concerns, and preferences of graduating students regarding the scheduled September 2026 Graduation Ceremony.
We recognize that graduation is a deeply meaningful milestone for every student and family. It is a moment of celebration, thanksgiving, and recognition of years of hard work, perseverance, and sacrifice. The University Administration sincerely understands the disappointment expressed by many respondents who hoped for an earlier ceremony.
At the same time, the University Administration wishes to clarify that the September 2026 Graduation Ceremony schedule forms part of the approved Academic Calendar for Academic Year 2025โ2026, which was approved and officially announced in 2025. The schedule was established after due consideration of the Universityโs academic timelines, administrative processes, operational requirements, and institutional commitments across campuses.
After a careful review of the concerns raised and the relevant academic, administrative, and logistical considerations, the University Administration confirms that the Graduation Ceremony will proceed in September 2026 as previously approved and announced.
We assure all graduating students that the date of the ceremony will not affect their status as graduates. Students who have satisfactorily completed all academic requirements as of 26 June 2026, as indicated in the School Calendar for Academic Year 2025โ2026, shall be considered graduates. Their academic credentials, including official documents needed for employment, further studies, scholarship applications, board examinations, or other purposes, will be made available and released upon request within the standard processing time.
The feedback generated from the survey is significant to the University. While the requested rescheduling may no longer be implemented for the Class of 2026, the insights raised by the graduating students will be considered in the preparation of future academic calendars and institutional planning processes.
We thank the Graduating Class of 2026 for raising this matter in a constructive and organized manner. Your engagement reflects your commitment not only to your own batch, but also to future generations of USeP students. The University remains committed to strengthening communication, improving consultation mechanisms, and making sure that student concerns are heard and considered in institutional decision-making.
We appeal for your understanding and cooperation as we proceed with the approved schedule, and we look forward to celebrating the achievements of the Class of 2026 in a dignified and meaningful Graduation Ceremony in September 2026.

The GSED MAME graduate students successfully facilitated the webinar, โEmpowering Educators: Integrating Technology, Project-Based and Problem-Based Learning, and STEAM for 21st-Century Education,โ held on May 8 and 10, 2026. This initiative was organized as a core component of the course MAME 7124: Instructional Planning in Mathematics under the guidance of Dr. Ivy Lyt S. Abina.
The webinar provided participants with valuable insights on effectively integrating technology, Project-Based Learning (PBL), Problem-Based Learning, and STEAM principles to create engaging, innovative, and learner-centered educational experiences.
Designed to enhance contemporary teaching practices, the webinar delivered highly relevant and actionable strategies tailored to the needs of modern educators. The sessions introduced practical frameworks for in-service teachers to seamlessly integrate advanced technologies into daily lesson plans while designing Project-Based and Problem-Based Learning environments that promote critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and real-world problem-solving in the classroom.
Moreover, the webinar served as a meaningful bridge for pre-service teachers between foundational educational theories and actual classroom practice. Future educators gained deeper insights into the practical application of STEAM principles, equipping them with a forward-thinking mindset and innovative pedagogical tools essential for their teaching internships and future careers.
The organizers extend their sincere appreciation to all speakers, faculty members, and participants who contributed to the success of this academic endeavor. Special recognition is given to the distinguished speakersโDr. Kwun Hang Lau, Dr. Marco Wan Kai Yin, Malaya Mae Espejo-Bencio, and Jaymar Villenaโwhose expertise and insightful discussions enriched the learning experience and strengthened the discourse on innovative, learner-centered teaching approaches.
Through initiatives like this, USeP continues to strengthen its commitment to academic excellence and transformative education by connecting theoretical knowledge with real-world teaching practices. The webinar also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), by promoting innovative teaching strategies, collaborative learning, and global academic engagement.

DAVAO CITY, Philippines โ In a significant move toward advancing vocational and technical education, the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) welcomed Dr. Maria Fema S. Aquino, President of the Philippine Association for Technology in Home Economics of State Colleges and Universities (PATHESCU) Inc., for an official visit aimed at discussing strategic institutional collaborations.
Dr. Aquino is a highly esteemed academic and faculty member from the Department of Home Economics Education at the University of the Philippines Diliman (UP Diliman) and Nueva Vizcaya State University.
As the leading national organization for home economics and technology practitioners in the public tertiary sector, PATHESCU plays a critical role in shaping curriculum design and competency standards in higher education. The organization is closely linked with USePโs Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education (BTLEd) and Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTEd) programs. Collaborating with PATHESCU ensures that these programs remain aligned with national quality standards, 21st-century skills, and the evolving educational landscape.
During her visit, Dr. Aquino engaged in productive technical discussions with BTLEd Program Head Dr. Jean L. Bejano who also serves as the newly elected PATHESCU Regional Chairperson for Regions IX, XI, and XII for Academic Year 2026โ2027. The meeting was attended by dedicated faculty members from the BTLEd and BTVTEd programs and served as a venue for exchanging professional practices and exploring resource-sharing initiatives to further enrich the preparation of future technology and livelihood educators.
The visit also culminated in a high-level consultative meeting with the Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Raquel D. Almasa. Discussions centered on establishing formal partnerships, including the drafting of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to support upcoming collaborative activities, specialized seminar-trainings, and future academic initiatives for both students and faculty.
This exploratory visit underscores USePโs continued commitment to strengthening external linkages that empower its technical-vocational education programs and ensure that its educators and graduates remain at the forefront of national development. The initiative also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), through strengthened academic collaboration, capacity-building initiatives, and institutional partnerships.
