The Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (BDRRMC) of Bago Gallera actively participated in the NDRRMC Resiliency Month Culmination Tree Planting Activity last July 31, 2026, held in line with the theme, โNaghanda at Kumilos Tungo sa Panatag na Bagong Pilipinas.โ
The activity brought together communities and disaster risk reduction advocates in a collective effort to promote environmental protection and strengthen resilience against the impacts of disasters. Through tree planting, participants took meaningful action toward a greener, safer, and more sustainable future for the community.
Beyond responding to emergencies, building resilience begins with taking action today to protect our environment and future generations.

On July 25, 2026, the BDRRMC Bago Gallera Responders was deployed and stationed at Medical Station 70 in Barangay Tawan-Tawan to provide medical support during the 1st DC Trail Ultra.
The team remained on standby throughout the event, ensuring immediate medical assistance was available to participants who may require attention along the challenging trail course. With the demanding terrain and endurance nature of the event, the medical team stayed vigilant and prepared to respond to any injuries, exhaustion, dehydration, or other medical concerns.
Through continuous monitoring, coordination, and rapid response readiness, the deployment contributed to a safer environment for all trail runners and event personnel.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all emergency responders, medical personnel, volunteers, and partner agencies whose unwavering dedication, vigilance, and teamwork ensured the smooth and safe conduct of the first DC Trail Ultra event. All BDRRMCs and volunteer groups along the Matina River are directed to immediately conduct ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ of residents along the riverbanks and provide updates to CDRRMO-OPCEN Apo Base.

In line with the observance of the 2026 National Disaster Resilience Month, the Davao City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) showcased its emergency response personnel, specialized equipment, and response vehicles on July 19, 2026, along the Davao City Coastal Road near the Ecoland Rotunda.
The activity provided the community with a closer look at the capabilities, resources, and preparedness of the city's emergency response teams, highlighting the importance of readiness and coordinated action before, during, and after disasters.
Barangay Bago Gallera and other participating barangays, whose presence and active involvement reflected the collective commitment of communities across Davao City toward building a safer, stronger, and more disaster-resilient city.
This event served as a reminder that disaster resilience is a shared responsibility. Through continuous preparedness, collaboration, and community participation, we strengthen our capacity to respond to emergencies and protect lives.

Due to light to moderate to heavy rainfall associated with the Localized thunderstorms, the water level of the Bago Creek along Bago-Aplaya is being monitored at Code Red (Critical Level) and increasing.
With these, BDRRMCs and Volunteer groups are advised to pre-positioned resources, closely monitor their areas of responsibility (AOR) especially flood-prone areas, prepare evacuation areas, and provide feedback to CDRRMO-OPCEN Apo Base for any changes in the situation.
The city-wide siren and public address in Bago Aplaya will be activated as part of the First Alarm.
Meanwhile, the PUBLIC is reminded to be vigilant and address the situation accordingly.
