SHARIFF AGUAK, MAGUINDANAO DEL SUR — Four School Paper Advisers (SPAs) from the Basic Education Department of Datu Ibrahim Paglas Memorial College, Inc. joined fellow campus journalism practitioners in a two-day Division-Wide Enhancement Training and Workshop on Campus Journalism held at Shariff Aguak Central Elementary School on September 9–10, 2026.

The training officially opened on September 9, bringing together student journalists, School Paper Advisers, and campus journalism coordinators from various schools across the Schools Division of Maguindanao del Sur.
Representing DIPMCI were Elementary School Paper Advisers 𝗦𝗶𝗿 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗱 𝗞𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗶𝗿 𝗔𝗺𝗶𝗿 𝗧. 𝗞𝘂𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗴, along with Secondary School Paper Advisers 𝗦𝗶𝗿 𝗠𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻 𝗔. 𝗛𝗮𝗺𝘀𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗻 𝗚. 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗮.

Organized by the Schools Division Office of Maguindanao del Sur, the activity aimed to strengthen the knowledge and practical skills of participants in various areas of campus journalism. It also provided an opportunity for advisers and journalism practitioners from different schools to learn, share experiences, and further improve their approaches to guiding young campus journalists.

The training was led throughout the two-day activity by Ma’am Laina Karnain-Baganian, Campus Journalism Division Focal Person, who facilitated the sessions designed to enhance participants’ understanding and competence in campus journalism.

More than simply gaining new techniques, the training served as a reminder of the important role of campus journalism in giving students a platform to write, speak, investigate, and tell stories that matter within their school communities.

With the knowledge and experiences gained from the activity, the School Paper Advisers are expected to bring these learnings back to their respective departments and further guide the school’s young journalists as they continue developing their skills in responsible and meaningful journalism.

Masigla at makulay na ipinagdiwang ng Elementarya ng Datu Ibrahim Paglas Memorial College, Inc. ang Buwan ng Wika nitong Agosto 19, 2026, na isinagawa sa kani-kanilang silid-aralan.

Layunin ng pagdiriwang na bigyang-halaga ang wikang Filipino bilang mahalagang bahagi ng kultura, pagkakakilanlan, at pagkakaisa ng bawat Pilipino.

Naging makulay ang selebrasyon sa pamamagitan ng iba’t ibang gawain at pagtatanghal na inihanda ng mga g**o at mag-aaral. Tampok din ang mga makukulay na katutubong kasuotan at iba’t ibang pagkaing Pilipino na nagbigay-buhay sa pagdiriwang.

Bukod sa pagiging masaya, naging pagkakataon din ang programa upang maipakita ng mga mag-aaral ang kanilang talento at pagkamalikhain, gayundin ang kanilang pagpapahalaga sa sariling wika at kulturang Pilipino.

Naging matagumpay ang pagdiriwang sa pamamagitan ng pagtutulungan ng mga g**o, magulang, at mag-aaral sa pangunguna ni Gng. Raida M. Latip, punong g**o ng Elementarya.

Nakiisa rin sa pagdiriwang sina Gng. Badria K. Talembo, Ph.D., BOT Treasurer at itinuturing na ina ng DIPMC; G. Zukarno P. Hadjinor, MPAIM, School Administrator; at Gng. Rocaya S. Guiamel, MAEd, punong g**o ng Sekondarya.

Higit sa mga kasuotan, pagkain, at pagtatanghal, nagsilbing paalala ang pagdiriwang na ang wika ay hindi lamang paraan ng pakikipag-usap. Ito rin ay tulay sa pagkakaunawaan, salamin ng kultura, at mahalagang bahagi ng pagkakaisa.

Another reason for Datu Paglas and Datu Ibrahim Paglas Memorial College Inc. to celebrate as young Jehar Pamansag Usman won himself a 3rd Place in the Extemporaneous Speaking Competition during Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 that was recently conducted in the Provincial Capitol of Maguindanao del Sur, Buluan.

Representing Datu Paglas, Jehar fought hard against his tough competitors from the other 24 municipalities of the province, showing his confidence, knowledge, and witty skills in delivering his speech with the motto, “BAWAL ANG TAMAD.”

Indeed, another proud moment not only for Datu Paglas but for Datu Ibrahim Paglas Memorial College Inc. as well because young Jehar showed his excellence and determination in front of the Provincial Board members as his voice echoed across the province.

Here, Jehar wants to extend his sincere gratitude to Ma’am Jammie Paglas, LYDO of Datu Paglas, for all the assistance she gave and for letting him represent his town.

In summary, Jehar Pamansag Usman emerged victorious with the 3rd Place trophy from the Provincial Linggo ng Kabataan Extemporaneous Speaking Competition.

Naging makabuluhan ang pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika 2026 sa Departamento ng Sekondarya ng Datu Ibrahim Paglas Memorial College noong ika 13 ng Agosto sa taong kasalukuyan. Tampok ang pagpapahalaga sa wikang Filipino, kulturang Pilipino, at pambansang pagkakakilanlan.

Nakiisa ang mga mag-aaral at g**o sa iba’t ibang gawain at pagtatanghal bilang pagpapakita ng pagmamahal at pagpapahalaga sa sariling wika. Sa pamamagitan ng mga aktibidad, naipamalas ng komunidad ng Sekondarya ang kahalagahan ng wika bilang bahagi ng kasaysayan, kultura, at pagkakaisa ng mga Pilipino.

Higit pa sa isang taunang pagdiriwang, nagsilbing paalala ang Buwan ng Wika na ang wika ay mahalagang instrumento sa pagpapanatili ng pagkakakilanlan at pagpapasa ng yaman ng kulturang Pilipino sa susunod na henerasyon.

Sa patuloy na pagpapahalaga sa sariling wika at kultura, ipinakita ng Departamento ng Sekondarya ng DIPMC na ang pagkakaisa ay higit na napapalakas sa pamamagitan ng wikang nagsisilbing tulay sa bawat Pilipino.

The Football Cowboys are set to compete in the Maguindanao RFA Youth Football League 2026, a signature league of the Maguindanao Regional Football Association (MRFA), in cooperation with the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) and the Philippine Football Federation (PFF).

Running from August to December 2026, the league brings together 12 football clubs from Maguindanao del Sur, Maguindanao del Norte, and Cotabato City, providing young footballers an opportunity to develop their skills and gain valuable competitive experience.

The league is made possible through the efforts of Sherlyn Sumatra Sinsuat, President of MRFA, and Cabili C. Sinsuat Jr., General Secretary of MRFA, with the support of Michael Angelo Reynoso, Technical Director, and Zaldy Anito Rabanes, Official Medical Man of MRFA.

With their participation, the DIPMCI Football Cowboys aim to showcase their talent, sportsmanship, and determination while representing their school on the regional football stage.

The Datu Ibrahim Paglas Memorial College, Inc. (DIPMCI) Basic Education Department successfully concluded a three-day Sports Accreditation Seminar and Workshop for coaches held at Kauran Elementary School.

The training began on August 14 and officially concluded early this afternoon, August 16, 2026, bringing together coaches who took part in the accreditation program to strengthen their knowledge and skills in their respective sports disciplines.

The seminar aimed to equip the participating coaches with essential knowledge and practical skills that they can apply in training and guiding their student-athletes. The learnings gained from the workshop are expected to be shared with their athletes as they prepare for various sports competitions and activities.

The successful completion of the program marked another step toward strengthening the school’s sports program and providing student-athletes with better guidance and support from trained coaches.

The DIPMCI Basic Education Department also expressed its appreciation to the school administration for its continued support and encouragement, which helped make the three-day seminar and workshop a success.
