The 𝗡𝗨 𝗗𝗮𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶ñ𝗮𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁 (𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗔) is officially reopening its recruitment for A.Y. 2026–2027. SCOA is looking for individuals who are passionate about upholding 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆, 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 and are ready to contribute to the Commission’s audit and organizational operations.

We are looking for aspiring student leaders and committed individuals to fill positions in the following committees:

𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝘼𝙪𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙤𝙧 – Responsible for conducting audits and ensuring compliance of Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs).

𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙚 – Tasked with managing SCOA’s visual materials, publications, documentation, and digital presence to effectively communicate the Commission’s initiatives and advocacies.

𝘼𝙙𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙚 – Responsible for organizing training workshops and seminars for RSOs, while also supporting the logistics, documentation, and evaluation of Commission programs and activities.

Following the foundation established during the first day of Audit Pre-Planning, the 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁 (𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗔) conducted its second session with the 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 (𝗥𝗦𝗢𝘀) of NU Dasmariñas on 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

The session focused on 𝙁𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨, particularly their components, classification, and proper presentation. The discussion covered the preparation and organization of financial data, including the appropriate recognition and presentation of accounts and balances for audit review. It also addressed the documentation and consistency required in presenting financial information for review.

As 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆, 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 begin with understanding what the numbers represent, SCOA continues to guide RSOs toward informed and responsible financial practices. In its continuing commitment to uphold 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆, 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, the 𝗡𝗨 𝗗𝗮𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶ñ𝗮𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁 (𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗔) hereby adopts 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗼. 𝟬𝟰, 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲–𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳, formally approving and adopting the 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲–𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳 as the official governing document of the Commission.

The revised Audit Charter strengthens the framework governing SCOA’s audit function by providing updated provisions on the Commission’s 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘂𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀.

As the 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 of the Commission, the revised Charter shall guide all SCOA officers and members in the performance of their duties and shall likewise serve as a reference for all Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) and Independent Bodies under SCOA’s audit jurisdiction. It shall supersede the previous Audit Charter and take effect immediately upon adoption.

Through this revised framework, SCOA reaffirms its commitment to 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗼𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 while strengthening good governance and responsible financial stewardship within the Nationalian community.

The revised provisions establish updated classifications of 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲𝘀, 𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 applicable to Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) and Independent Bodies under the jurisdiction of the Commission. These revisions are intended to strengthen compliance monitoring, enhance internal controls, and promote the 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 among student organizations.

The Commission emphasizes that these provisions are not solely punitive in nature but are established to promote 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 among student organizations. Through clear standards and consistent implementation, SCOA seeks to foster an organizational culture where accountability is practiced and good governance is strengthened.

SCOA encourages all RSOs and Independent Organizations to 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 and observe the applicable requirements throughout the academic year.

In its continuing commitment to uphold 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆, 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, the 𝗡𝗨 𝗗𝗮𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶ñ𝗮𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁 (𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗔) hereby adopts 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗼. 𝟮, 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳, requiring all 𝗥𝗦𝗢𝘀 and 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 to use the 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘀 issued by the Commission for relevant official transactions and the submission of financial and administrative documents.

Effective upon its adoption, all concerned organizations shall transition to the 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 and standardized forms for 𝗔.𝗬. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲–𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳. Late, incomplete, inaccessible, or inadequate submissions shall be subject to appropriate sanctions in accordance with applicable audit standards.

This measure aims to promote 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, and 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, strengthening internal controls and responsible stewardship across student organizations.
SCOA encourages all RSOs and Independent Organizations to observe the prescribed forms and requirements and practice transparency, integrity, and accountability.

In its continuing commitment to uphold 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆, 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, the 𝗡𝗨 𝗗𝗮𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶ñ𝗮𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁 (𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗔) hereby adopts 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗼. 𝟬𝟭, 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳, establishing guidelines for the safekeeping and custody of cash on hand among all Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) and Independent Organizations.

Under this resolution, all RSOs are required to keep their cash on hand 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀 and store it in a 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗯𝗼𝘅 at all times. Access to the physical cash shall be limited primarily to the organization’s Treasurer, with the Adviser or Assistant Treasurer granted access only when necessary and in accordance with the provisions of the resolution.

This measure aims to strengthen internal controls, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗳𝘁, 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘀, 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘂𝘀𝗲, 𝗼𝗿 𝘂𝗻𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀, and ensure that cash on hand remains available for verification and audit procedures.

SCOA encourages all RSOs and Independent Organizations to fully comply with the provisions of this resolution as we work together toward a more secure, transparent, and accountable management of organizational funds.

The 𝗡𝗨 𝗗𝗮𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶ñ𝗮𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁 (𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗔) 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 to its graduated members as they reach the completion of their academic journey and their service within the Commission. The activity served as an introductory orientation that equipped new audit forces with essential knowledge on 𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗔 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘀, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝘆-𝗟𝗮𝘄𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀. Through these discussions, members gained a deeper understanding of the Commission's standards, responsibilities, and commitment to ethical and effective service.
