We're happy to see how children have become more comfortable with getting their hands messy as they explored the wonders of clay. While working with clay, children become more creative. They also build skills in language development, fine and gross motor development, problem solving, social skills, praxis, and even math, as they explore textures, shapes, and forms with their hands. 🤗

Because February is arts month and March is women's month, here's a sweet treat for our soon-to-be moms. Allow us to create a safe and supportive space and provide a judgement-free environment through the expressive arts.

What to expect in this Expressive Arts online retreat activity:
✔️ It is not your usual art workshop.
✔️ It is a psychosocial support group using arts as modality
✔️ It is intermodal, which means the session may use visual arts, music, dance and movement, rituals, play, and drama in the facilitation.
✔️ It uses a trauma-informed approach
✔️ All art is good art as we make sure that the space is safe and judgement-free
✔️ Expressive Arts (therapy) is a discipline that marries arts and mental health
✔️ No arts skills are required. But creativity is encouraged.
✔️ Materials that will be used for the sessions will be sent via lalamove on Monday
✔️ Limited slots only
✔️ Facilitators are mental health professionals, artists, and Expressive Arts facilitator in-training (a certificate program of The Arts and Health Institute by Magis Creative Spaces)

Who can join:
✔️ Pregnant moms (22-35 years old)
✔️ With good and reliable internet connection
