Our recent interviews with jeepney drivers revealed diverse opinions on the modernization program. Below are the key points of our interviewed drivers.

Jeepney drivers are sharing their challenges and concerns over the modernization program. Some are worried about very high costs, heavy debt, and possible loss of livelihood. Others feel this is being forced on the government and that it has to first address issues of illegal transport and road conditions. Most of the drivers support the idea but point out problems with vehicle quality, and the need for financing to make it possible. These answers reflect the struggles of our modern day heroes who keep our streets moving everyday.
