Where Green Ideas Take Root 🌱

This day marks the official launch of the University Food Square Vertical Garden Project, another meaningful step toward sustainability and stewardship.

This initiative was spearheaded by the Ancillary & Asset Management Office - DLSU Dasma– Food Services, in collaboration with select NSTP classes, 267th NROTCU, Campus Sustainability Office, and the Buildings and Facilities Management Office, through the leadership and guidance of our Chief Administrative Officer and Office of the Vice President for Administrative Services - DLSUD

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was also held to formally open the project, followed by a blessing led by the University Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Ashpaul Castillo, making the occasion even more special and significant.

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed—from planning to actual implementation. Your dedication, teamwork, and shared vision made this project possible. 🌱

Together, we continue to cultivate not just greener spaces, but a stronger and more sustainable community. 💚

De La Salle University–Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) has been officially awarded a 4-star rating by the ASEAN University Network–Health Promotion Network (AUN-HPN), distinguishing itself as a leading "Healthy University" within the Asian region.

The rigorous assessment evaluated 46 self-evaluation criteria across 22 areas of the Healthy University Framework (HUF). While the AUN-HPN Secretariat lauded the University’s deep commitment to community well-being, the findings also identified opportunities for evidence-based enhancements to further strengthen institutional health policies.

Achieving a high Healthy University Rating System (HURS) score is a strategic milestone, as it reflects the integration of wellness into the university's core culture, directly boosting student academic performance and staff productivity. This initiative was spearheaded by the Office of the Vice President for Administrative Services and Office of the Vice President for Global Engagement and External Relations, led by Br. Fernando Sanding, FSC and Dr. Nor Cachuela.

"Maintaining a healthy university is a top priority," Br. Fernando remarked. "It ensures a balanced state of well-being for all our stakeholders, most especially our students, fostering an environment where they can truly thrive."

Buoyed by this success, DLSU-D now sets its sights on HURS 2026, with the goal of achieving the 5-star "Leading" status and continuing its mission of holistic Lasallian excellence.
