PTC-PALIPARAN JOINS WORLDSKILLS PHILIPPINES CALABARZON 2026 last May 25-28, 2026.

Jacocbo Z. Gonzales Memorial School of Arts and Trades with the Partner Agencies/Organization: TESDA Cavite and TESDA Regional Office and Steward Electromechanical and Air-conditioning Repair Shop.

The activity aimed to promote excellence in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) by enhancing the competencies of skilled workers and aligning training standards with national and international industry requirements. It also sought to strengthen the competitiveness of the Filipino workforce through participation in skills competitions that showcase technical expertise, innovation, and professionalism.

Mr. Johnrey F. Melchor, a trainee of TESDA PTC-Paliparan, proudly secured the Gold Medal in the Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning (RAC) skill area during the WorldSkills Philippines CALABARZON 2026 Competition.

Throughout the competition, Mr. Melchor demonstrated exceptional competence in installing Refrigeation and Air Conditioning electrical circuits, diagnosing and repairing faults and troubles, performing refrigerant recovery and recycling, and carrying out retrofitting and conversion procedures for refrigeration and air-conditioning units. His outstanding performance reflected not only his technical proficiency but also his dedication, discipline, and commitment to excellence.

Under the guidance and coaching of Mr. Jonathan A. Medenilla, RAC Trainer and Expert, Mr. Melchor successfully completed and resolved complex test projects within the prescribed standards and time requirements.

With the unwavering support of Ms. Lorie P. Lim, Training Center Administrator of TESDA PTC-Paliparan, the team is set to intensify its preparation for the upcoming WorldSkills Philippines National Competition, scheduled in August 2026 in Clark, Pampanga.

• Gold Medal achievement in the Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning skill category.
• Qualification of the competitor for participation in the WorldSkills Philippines National Competition.
• Strengthened capability and readiness of the training center to compete at higher levels of skills excellence.
• TESDA PTC-Paliparan commits to participate in the upcoming WorldSkills Philippines National Competition to be held in Clark, Pampanga.
• The center shall continue providing technical, administrative, and logistical support to the competitor and expert during the preparation period.
