Daram Uno Bagged 2nd Place in Unit Meet; Three Players from Bagacay ES

Daram Samar— August 30, 2026 — The Daram Uno volleyball team showed incredible heart and sportsmanship today, pushing the powerhouse SPAA squad of Tarangnan to the limit in a thrilling, hard-fought match at the Unit Meet held in Daram I District. The game reached an intense 40+ point score, with Daram Uno nearly clinching victory against the seasoned Tarangnan side — a testament to the team's grit, skill, and never-give-up attitude!
Adding to the pride of Bagacay ES, three standout players from our school were selected to join the Daram Uno team that captured the District Meet championship earlier this season! Congratulations to Cañezares, Navales, and Verdejo — our very own stars who represented Bagacay ES with excellence and pride!
"These young athletes embody the true spirit of sportsmanship — they play with passion, unity, and pride for our school," shared Coach Rosalie M. Lacasa. "We may not have won every match today, but the courage and determination they showed on the court are priceless. They are champions in our eyes!"

The team's near-victory over Tarangnan — a highly regarded SPAA squad — proves that with hard work, teamwork, and unwavering spirit, Bagacay ES players can compete at the highest level. Our three selected players — Cañezarez, Navales, and Verdejo — continue to make us proud as they shine on the bigger stage with Daram Central!

To our amazing players, coaches, and supporters — THANK YOU for representing Bagacay ES with honor and heart! On to the next level!

Date: August 21, 2026
Venue: Daram CES
Event: District Athletics Meet Volleyball
Result: Silver Medalist — Bagacay Elementary School

DARAM, SAMAR — The Bagacay Elementary School volleyball team displayed exceptional skill, grit, and sportsmanship, capturing the SILVER MEDAL at the Daram 1 District Athletics Meet held on August 21, 2026, in a hard-fought championship match against a formidable Daram 1 Central ES squad.

Coached by Rosalie M. Lacasa, with Assistant Coach Ruth D. Goden, the Bagacay ES spikers showed championship form right from the opening whistle, dominating the 1st Set with sharp attacks and solid defense to take an early lead. However, the experienced Daram 1 Central ES team rallied back, capturing the 2nd Set to force a decisive Decision Game.

In a thrilling finish, both teams traded points and displayed incredible athleticism, but Daram 1 Central ES ultimately edged out Bagacay ES in the final set to claim the gold. Bagacay ES settled for the SILVER MEDAL — a remarkable achievement that speaks volumes about the team’s talent, discipline, and relentless fighting spirit.

“These girls played with all their hearts. We may not have won the gold, but they showed true sportsmanship, unity, and courage on the court. This silver is as precious as gold to us,” said Coach Lacasa.
