✨ FROM DREAMS TO PURPOSE. FROM JOURNEY TO CALLING. ✨

Before they step beyond the classroom and into the world of hospitality, the graduating learners of the Diploma Program in Food Service Management gathered not merely to look back, but to look within.

Held on September 11, 2026 at the DHRDC Function Hall, the Graduation Recollection Activity carried the meaningful theme:

“From Dreams to Purpose: Reflecting on the Journey, Embracing the Calling to Serve.”

More than a pause from the demands of academic life, the recollection became a sacred space for reflection, gratitude, healing, discernment, and renewed purpose—an opportunity to revisit the challenges they have overcome, the lessons they have learned, the people who have shaped their journey, and the dreams that first brought them to this path.

As future food service and hospitality professionals, the activity reminded them that true service is more than a profession—it is a purpose. It calls for a heart that understands, hands that serve with excellence, and a character that remains grounded in humility, compassion, integrity, and dedication.

The recollection invited each graduating learner to ask:
What have I learned from the journey?
Who have I become along the way?
And now that I am closer to my dream, what greater purpose am I called to fulfill?

Because graduation is not simply the end of a chapter. It is the beginning of a calling. A calling to transform knowledge into meaningful service, skills into opportunities, dreams into realities, and every guest served into an experience remembered.

Spearheaded by the Recollection Facilitators, Sir Eric L. Lita and Sir Cydrec Roque L. Manga, the activity provided the graduating batch with moments to slow down, reconnect with themselves, celebrate how far they have come, and courageously embrace the responsibility that awaits beyond graduation.

Today, they carry more than a diploma.
