Langojon Beach Resort, September 25โ€“27, 2025 โ€”

With the waves gently lapping the shores and the spirit of innovation in the air, 36 elementary and secondary school heads from across the SDO-Siargao convened for the Flexible Learning Options - Alternative Delivery Modes (FLO-ADM) Program Implementationโ€”a seminar- workshop aimed at reshaping the future of Siargao Division education.
The opening message, delivered on behalf of Dr. Gemna G. Pobe, EdD, CID Chief, who was unable to attend due to concurrent engagements at the Regional Office, set the tone for a transformative experience.
โ€œWelcome to this training on flexible learning options and alternative delivery modes!โ€ the message , igniting a sense of purpose and possibility among the participants.
โ€œThis isn't just a training; it's a launchpad for innovation in education,โ€ Dr.Pobe emphasized.
School heads were called upon not merely as administrators, but as visionaries and change-makers, entrusted with the mission of pioneering a more inclusive and adaptable educational system.
In a world marked by rapid change and evolving learner needs, the FLO-ADM program underscored the urgency of moving beyond traditional classroom models. โ€œFlexible learning isn't about compromising standards,โ€ the CID Chief continued.
โ€œIt's about reimagining how and where learning happens so that every student has the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their circumstances.โ€
Throughout the three-day seminar, participants engaged in dynamic sessions focused on modular learning, blended instruction, and community-based delivery modes. The program highlighted the importance of resilience, equity, and student-centered leadership in crafting educational environments that truly prepare youth for the future.
โ€œYou have the power to create a learning environment that is resilient, student-centered, and truly prepares our youth for the future,โ€ Dr. Pobeโ€™s message affirmed. โ€œEmbrace this journey of transformation with courage and a collaborative spirit. Your leadership will be the catalyst for change.โ€
As the seminar concluded, a shared commitment emerged: to build a future where education is not a one-size-fits-all model, but a dynamic and flexible system that meets the unique needs of every learner.
โ€œLetโ€™s make learning possible for everyone, everywhere,โ€ the message concludedโ€”leaving participants inspired, empowered, and ready to lead the charge toward educational transformation.
Dr. Pobe expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the resource speakers who generously shared their expertise during the recent event. Among those recognized for their valuable contributions were Virginchita A. Gorgonio, PIV from Dapa National High School; Dr. Shiela Jane D. Lasala, PIV from Nueva Estrella National High School; Kem E. Abuton, Jr., PIII from Union Elementary School; Dr. Jovy C. Liza, PIV from Sapao National High School; Jonathan C. Gubantes, PIII from General Luna National High School; and Randy A. Rudila, Education Program Supervisor and ADM Focal Person.

Their insights and dedication played a vital role in the success of the program.

"Whenever challenges come in our workplace, let us endure, evolve, and excel, kay ang tanan nato gibuhat diri ay Para sa Bata, Para sa Bayan," said SDS Manuel O. Caberte as he delivered an inspirational talk to the school leaders and administrative officers of the Division of Siargao who attended the Batch 2 Capacity Building of an DO No. 24, s. 2023 for the Division SLR Management Team and SLR Committees held last September 23-24, 2025 at Parkway Hotel in Surigao City.

SDS Caberteโ€™s talk centered on the 3 E's that education leaders now should have in order to stay relevant in a world where challenges are inevitable.

The first E he talked about was Endurance. Accordingly, this refers to the ability of staying in the game. This was why he encouraged all school leaders to not easily give up despite setbacks and unexpected changes they face along the way.

The second E he talked about was Evolution. This, according to him, entailed the ability to adapt and grow. He emphasized that school leaders should be open to change, be flexible, be curious, and be willing to go out of their comfort zone.

The third E that SDS Caberte emphasized was Excellence. He explained that this meant going beyond the minimum standards. He further said that excellence is a product of resilience and adaptability, and that it becomes a natural outcome after enduring and evolving.

In closing his talk, SDS Caberte reminded all the education leaders that Endurance, Evolution, and Excellence form a cycle because every new level of excellence brings new challenges.
