๐ซ The Hidden Cloud: Va**ng & Cigarette Use Among Adolescents ๐ซ
One of the biggest challenges the younger generation has to deal with is the trend of va**ng and smoking, which has been rising by leaps and bounds. The first step in being able to act as protector setting the trap to catch this issue is the understanding of the problem by us, the people who run the show: students, teachers, and the community.
๐ญWhat is Causing the Habit? (The reasons)
- Peer Pressure & Social Influence: Wanting to fit in or be identified as "cool" is a strong motivator.
- Misinformation & Marketing: Vapes often carry a 'safer' or 'harmless' brand image along with trendy flavors, thus making children think that they are harmless.
- Stress & Anxiety: Some kids may only seek help in ni****ne for the heavy academic load or social difficulty that they face or due to personal issues.
- Accessibility: Still, these goods are allowed in the market and can be easily accessed despite the existence of regulations related to them.
- Curiosity & Experimentation: The natural need to try new things can lead them into a dangerous path.
๐ The Stark Reality: Evidences & Statistics
- Ni****ne Addiction: One v**e pod can hold as much ni****ne as 20 traditional ci******es and this fact leads to addiction in a very short time in the brains of children who are still in their development stage.
- Youth Va**ng Surge: Wherever the studies have been conducted, they have come up with the same conclusion that the trend of va**ngs among high school students skyrockets. This is the case not only in different countries but also in various schools. For example, the World Health Organization (WHO) identifies the worldwide development and the Philippine Department of Health (DOH) has also reported similar trends in youth surveys in local areas.
- Gateway Effect: The research results point out that teens who v**e are 4 times more likely to become smokers than those who are not using an e-cigarette.
- Harmful Chemicals: Vapes are not simply "water v***r." They have chemicals which can cause diseases in the respiratory tract, cancer, or other health problems like diacetyl (that is related to the disease called "popcorn lung"), heavy metals, and volatile organic compounds.
The Cost of the Cloud: Effects on Young Lives
Brain Development: Ni****ne harms brain development, thus affecting attention, learning, mood, and impulse control.
Respiratory Issues: Va**ng and smoking might lead to irreversible lung damage, chronic cough, bronchitis and also raise the risk of asthma attacks.
Mental Health: Ni****ne addiction can be a cause of that anxiety and depression cycle as it gets worse and worse.
Academic Performance: Addiction, if it is of ni****ne, can result in lowered concentration, the bad performance of studies and the raised absenteeism.
Financial Burden: The price of smoking is generally pretty high and the cost of keeping the ni****ne habit can lead to financial strain.
Increased Risk of Other Substance Use: The first ni****ne use is connected to a higher probability of subsequently using other addictive substances.
๐ก๏ธ Building a Smoke-Free Future: Prevention Strategies
Open Communication: Open talk, without blaming, where you share your views with youngsters what you think about the va**ng and smoking dangers is a must.
Education: Give the truth that is hidden behind the lies about the health risks and let the youngsters know that there is not such a thing as a "safe" alternative.
Role Modeling: By not smoking or va**ng be the good example that you want to see in the young people.
Support Systems: Introduce them to the different ways to cope with stress in a healthy manner and if you see that their mental health is not good, connect them to professionals.
Advocacy: Help to implement the policies that would restrict easy access, marketing, and sales of these products to minors.
Community Engagement: Get school and community-based program that promote healthy, smoke-free lifestyle in the neighborhood.

RAIN RAIN GO AWAY๐ง๐ง๐ง
๐To all Federicians out there...
Dahil sa patuloy na pag-ulan at pagbaha, ang ilan sa atin ay nahaharap sa problema ng pagbaha, mga nasirang bahay, at iba pang isyu. Nagdulot ito ng takot at kahirapan sa ating buhay..
At the shadow of this tragedy, some families are finding comfort in each other's arms, although their fate is still unclear, the defenseless animals are, however, cold and fidgeting as they have nobody and they are looking for a safe place.
The situation is such that, while some have indeed found a safe haven inside their homes, there are still many who face an extremely difficult situation that is beyond our imagination.
This is a chance to take action, not to be neutral. When our neighbours have the most difficult time, it is not right for us to be just witnesses. In this way, we can only be truly present with them if we can read the fear in their eyes, analyze the pain in their voices, and feel the strength of their need.
We sincerely appeal to you not to leave them alone if you are in a safe place, have a comfortable roof over your head, and are not in need of anything. Your empathy might become the solution of the problem. Let your generosity be a sign of things to come.
Give food, clothes, a place to live. Pass on the right information, become a source of motivation, and also volunteer for some time. ๐ช๐๐ก
Because of our collective compassion, we are the most powerful force against disaster. The time is now to make sure that no family, child, elderly, or animal is left without safety, warmth, and appreciation. No longer individuals, but as one united community.
