SDO ABRA WELCOMES PEรA AS NEW ASSISTANT SCHOOLS DIVISION SUPERINTENDENT
The DepEd Schools Division of Abra warmly welcomed the new Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Mr. Jan Nowel Peรฑa on April 14, 2026 at the Bangued West Central School Social Hall.
Hedwig M. Belmes , CID Chief, formally opened the program as she acknowledged everyone who attended the event, while Dr. Benedicta B. Gamatero CESO V (former Schools Division Superintendent of ASDS Peรฑa) duly introduced the new SDO Abra ASDS. The SDO Abra SDS Dr. Amador D. Garcia CESO V also delivered his message of endorsement of the new ASDS.
In his Message of Commitment, ASDS Peรฑa recounted his years in DepEd starting from when he was still a Teacher I stretching up to the time when he successfully passed the CESWE qualifying him to the position of an ASDS. He also shared his insights and realizations when he first assumed the position of Tabuk City ASDS, recounting that it was never the loud moments that shaped him but the quiet ones.
ASDS Peรฑa said in his message that waiting has aligned him and that it has put him exactly to where he needs to be at the right time.
He said that in coming to Abra, he is not simply assuming a position. Instead, he came back to share what the years of being an ASDS has made of him and what he has become and the journey that shaped him in ways he did not expect. He emphasized that in sharing these things, there will be a positive start where everyone could understand each other in working towards the upliftment of the quality of education in SDO Abra.
Messages of support also poured from both the secondary and elementary school heads represented by Mr. David P. Lingayo Jr., Principal IV of RENHS, and Mr. Esteban Lope N. Tamayo Principal II of Lapaz IS, respectively, as well as from the Division Federated PTA President Mrs. Annie Daoala.
During the program, Mr. Bernardino B. Lazo Jr., Principal II of Bucay Central School, anr Mr. Mc Arthur M. Taloma, Teacher V of Gaddani NHS rendered their songs for the new ASDS.
The SGOD Chief Dr Ronald T. Marquez also shared his thoughts in his closing message.
