In response to the Public Advisory on the suspension of face-to-face classes from Kindergarten to Senior High School issued by the Provincial Government of Abra, which advised schools to implement Alternative Delivery Modes (ADM), when conditions permit, in accordance with DepEd guidelines, the school shifted to ADM through the distribution of learning modules. This served as one way of ensuring learning continuity while prioritizing the safety and well-being of its learners and personnel.

Even on a Saturday, the commitment of educators to their noble profession continues to shine. The Daguioman District conducted an ARAL Program Orientation for Key Stage 1 (KS1), Key Stage 2 (KS2), and Key Stage 3 (KS3) hosted by Daguioman Central School to strengthen teachersโ€™ understanding and readiness in implementing the program.

The Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Program aims to help learners address learning gaps and improve their foundational and essential competencies through additional and targeted learning support. It provides opportunities for learners who need extra assistance to recover missed or least-mastered competencies and progress toward their expected learning outcomes.

The activity also served as a re-echoing of relevant seminars and orientations previously attended by the teacher-resource speakers, allowing them to share their knowledge, experiences, strategies, and best practices with fellow educators.

The activity commenced with the Welcome Remarks by Maโ€™am Emelda Baula, Master Teacher II/OIC of Daguioman CS, followed by the presentation of the Program Rationale by Maโ€™am Linda Joy Saboy, School Head of Capitan NHS.

The teacher-resource speakers, Ma'am Margie A. Lomioan, and Maโ€™am Irish Tamangen of Cabaruyan ES, Maโ€™am Nezza Mae Wagguizan of Pikek ES and Maโ€™am Jessa Viernes of Capitan NHS shared their learnings and insights from the seminars and orientations they had attended, providing valuable information to teachers who will be involved in the implementation of the ARAL Program.

The activity concluded with the Closing Remarks by Maโ€™am Sozie Pearl T. Balagso, Teacher-In-Charge of Cabaruyan ES and Pikek ES emphasizing the importance of collective commitment and cooperation in ensuring the successful implementation of the ARAL Program.

We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone behind the successful conduct of the activityโ€”those who prepared the food and refreshments, arranged the venue, prepared the program, and worked behind the scenes to ensure that everything was organized and ready .

Kudos to the dedicated educators of Daguioman District for going the extra mile in the service of our learners.๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š

Today, August 12, 2026, Cabaruyan Elementary School and Pikek Elementary School, conducted a Learning Action Cell (LAC) Session on Classroom-Based Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) Assessment, facilitated by Maโ€™am Letty J. Bakidan and presided over by Ma'am Sozie Pearl T. Balagso, School Head.

The session focused on the basic principles of Brain-Based Learning, the distinction between Surface Learning and Deep Learning using Depth of Knowledge (DOK) levels, and the use of Collaborative and Cooperative Learning to achieve deeper learning. These concepts provided teachers with meaningful insights into designing classroom instruction and assessment that encourage learners to think critically, engage actively, and develop deeper understanding.

Teachers were grouped for collaborative activities, where they reflected on the topics discussed, shared insights, and suggested possible outputs and classroom applications. The School Head also encouraged teachers to establish a โ€œWord Wallโ€ or โ€œFreedom Wallโ€ featuring new terminology learned each day, particularly for Key Stage 2 (KS2) learners, as a strategy to enrich vocabulary and reinforce learning.

Through meaningful discussion, collaboration, and reflection, the LAC session strengthened teachersโ€™ knowledge and practices in promoting deeper learning and developing learnersโ€™ higher-order thinking skills.

Teaching and non-teaching personnel of Cabaruyan Elementary School, together with our supportive parents and guardians, conducted clearing operations in the classrooms and school premises to ensure the safety, cleanliness, and readiness of the school following the onslaught of Typhoon Maymay and the Southwest Monsoon.

As part of our immediate recovery efforts, school personnel promptly mobilized to clear affected areas, restore order, and secure school facilities. We are especially grateful to our parents and guardians who, despite being busy cleaning and recovering their own homes, still took the time to extend their help to the school.

The school also prioritized the distribution of learning materials for Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) to ensure learning continuity for pupils.

Despite the challenging weather brought by Tropical Storm Kiyapo and the power interruption in our community, the dedicated staff of RHU Daguioman headed by Dr. Rellin Gay Haily Amorin successfully conducted a Basic First Aid Orientation for our Grade 1 to Grade 6 learners today, July 24, 2026.

The activity equipped our learners with essential life-saving knowledge and practical first aid skills, including how to respond to wounds, fever, nosebleeds, burns, sprains, and other common emergencies. They also learned the importance of staying calm, asking health workers and adults for assitance and practicing safety at all times.

The orientation also featured hands-on demonstrations of various cravat bandaging techniques, where learners used their scouting neckerchiefs as improvised first aid materials. This practical experience enhanced their confidence and preparedness in responding to emergencies using available resources.

Our heartfelt gratitude to the RHU Daguioman especially to Nurse Ricardo Sacwed and Nurse Dianne April Alvarez for your service despite the challenging weather conditions.

Pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 491, otherwise known as the Nutrition Act of the Philippines, and in support of the observance of the 52nd National Nutrition Month, with the theme "Sa PPAN: Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat; Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan," Cabaruyan Elementary School, in partnership with the RHU Daguioman headed by Dr. Rellin Gay Haily A. Apelo successfully conducted a Nutrition Month Orientation for learners and school personnel today, July 10. 2026.

The orientation was facilitated by Nurse Dianne April Alvarez, who discussed the importance of proper nutrition and introduced the Pinggang Pinoy, emphasizing the benefits of eating a balanced and nutritious diet. She also reminded the learners of the importance of safeguarding the environment and encouraged them to practice simple yet meaningful ways of caring for nature in line with this year's Nutrition Month theme, "Kalikasan Ating Pangalagaan."

Throughout the session, the learners actively participated in the discussion and enthusiastically answered the questions during the interactive portion. To encourage participation, Nurse Alvarez gave prizes to learners who correctly answered her questions.

Prior to the orientation, Nurse Somia Bradley, school Nurse, conducted a deworming activity for the kindergarten pupils to help ensure their health and well-being.

To further celebrate Nutrition Month, learners also brought nutritious fruits to school, promoting healthy eating habits and allowing everyone to experience the true essence of the celebration.

We sincerely thank RHU Daguioman, especially Nurse Dianne April Alvarez, for taking the time to share her knowledge with our learners.๐Ÿ’š
