How to Encourage a Child Who Easily Gives Up
When a child says, “I can’t do it,” they may not need more pressure. They may simply need someone to believe in them.
Here are simple ways parents can help:
1. Celebrate effort, not just results.
Say, “I’m proud of how you tried,” instead of focusing only on getting the right answer.
2. Break big tasks into small steps.
A difficult activity becomes easier when children can see one small goal at a time.
3. Let them make mistakes.
Mistakes are part of learning. Teach them that getting something wrong doesn't mean they can't learn it.
4. Encourage them to try again.
Instead of saying, “You can’t,” remind them: “You can’t do it YET.”
5. Give them the right support.
Sometimes, children simply need patient guidance and a learning environment where they feel safe to ask questions.
At ReyveL Tutorial and Learning Center , we believe that every child learns at their own pace. We don't just teach lessons. We help children build confidence, patience, and a positive attitude toward learning.
Because sometimes, all a child needs is someone to say:
“Keep trying. I believe you can do it.”
Give your child a safe place to learn, grow, and discover their potential with ReyveL Tutorial and Learning Center.
