The Bachelor of Public Administration (BPA) department of Notre Dame of Midsayap College officially welcomed its students through The Ugnayan 2026, an event aimed at strengthening unity, leadership, and camaraderie among future public servants. Held at the Primera Function Hall on August 6, 2026, the gathering served as an opportunity for students, faculty members, alumni, and administrators to build meaningful connections while celebrating the beginning of another academic year. With its elegant theme and engaging activities, the event reflected the department's commitment to fostering a supportive and inspiring academic community.
The afternoon began with the arrival and registration of participants at exactly 1:00 PM, ensuring that everyone was properly accommodated before the program commenced. At 1:30 PM, the event officially opened with a Christian and Muslim prayer led by Jolleyca D. Caman and Abdul Rashed Zacaria, respectively, followed by the singing of the National Anthem, Midsayap Hymn, and Notre Dame Hymn through an audio-visual presentation. The opening ceremonies were followed by the Welcome Address delivered by Dr. Lorienel D. Madeloso, MPA, BPA Program Head, who warmly welcomed both freshmen and returning students. Afterwards, Ms. Fatma Dubpaleg delivered an inspirational message, encouraging students to remain committed to their studies while embodying the values of integrity, service, and excellence.
As the program continued, Ms. Asnaida Noroding officiated the Induction of JPAG Officers, formally recognizing the newly elected student leaders who pledged to serve the BPA community. This was followed by the students' Ramp Walk, where participants confidently showcased their creativity and elegance. The audience was then inspired by an Alumni Testimonial from Hon. Sittie Eljorie Antao Balisi, who shared valuable life experiences and encouraged students to persevere despite challenges. To keep the atmosphere lively, the event featured an intermission performance by the first-year students, interactive games facilitated by Yssha Rubino and Marcelino Cadungog, and another inspiring address from Mr. Sergio D. Mahinay Jr., MPA, JD, reminding students that effective public servants are built through discipline, compassion, and continuous learning. A second intermission performance by Harold Dillava further entertained the audience before everyone gathered for dinner after the Dinner Prayer led by Jamaica Enerlan.
As the celebration drew to a close, Ma'am Clarez Charity P. Moskito, LPT, MATCP, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, delivered the Closing Remarks, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event. This was followed by the Recognition and Appreciation segment, honoring the efforts of faculty members, organizers, and student leaders whose dedication made the gathering possible. The program concluded with a Photo Opportunity and a lively Featured Dance, leaving participants with unforgettable memories and strengthened friendships. More than a welcome program, The Ugnayan 2026 successfully fostered unity, leadership, and a sense of belonging among BPA students, reminding every participant that the journey toward becoming a competent public servant begins with meaningful connections and shared experiences.
