𝗦𝗶𝗱𝗹𝗮𝗸 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗲 — 𝗔 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀

The Debate Competition was one of the most anticipated events during Sidlak 2026 as it showcased the talents, knowledge, confidence, and excellence of the participating contestants. The event provided an opportunity for the debaters to demonstrate their critical thinking and communication skills while defending their arguments.

The competition started at 8:00 AM on the final day of Sidlak 2026 at the Primera Function Hall of Notre Dame of Midsayap College. The program officially began with the Invocation, which included both Christian and Muslim prayers. This was followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, Midsayap Hymn, and NDMC Hymn. The Welcome Address was delivered by Mr. Angelo P. Florague, SSG Moderator, followed by the Introduction of the Adjudicators and the Reading of the Criteria.

The elimination round then commenced, featuring the CAS & CN Azure Sparcons and the CED & CCJE Red Ravens. Both teams demonstrated confidence, preparation, and strong reasoning as they defended their respective positions on the given topic. The competition continued into the final round, where the debaters gave their best efforts to prove their skills and knowledge.

After an exciting final round, the CAS & CN Azure Sparcons emerged as the winner of the Debate Competition. The debaters delivered impressive performances through the way they presented their ideas, defended their arguments, and responded to the opposing side. Their performances made the competition engaging and highlighted the importance of critical thinking, effective communication, and teamwork.

𝓜𝓻. 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓜𝓼. 𝓢𝓲𝓭𝓵𝓪𝓴 2026: 𝓐 𝓢𝓹𝓸𝓽𝓵𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽 𝓸𝓯 𝓖𝓵𝓪𝓶𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓔𝔁𝓬𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓮𝓷𝓬𝓮

Mr. and Ms. Sidlak 2026 emerged as one of the most anticipated highlights of Sidlak 2026, celebrating the beauty, confidence, talent, and intelligence of the participating candidates. Held at Bulwagang Genoveva Deles Jaranilla, the event brought together students from the CBA Golden Eagles, CED & CCJE Red Ravens, CITE Black Hawks, and CN & CAS Azure Sparcons, whose enthusiastic cheers and unwavering support filled the venue throughout the evening.

The program formally began with the preliminary activities, including the opening prayer and the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, Midsayap Hymn, and Notre Dame March. The opening remarks were delivered by Dr. Genevieve O. Torino, DBM, Vice President for Administration, followed by the introduction of the distinguished panel of judges. The candidates then took the stage to compete in various categories that highlighted their individuality, confidence, and stage presence.

The candidates showcased their skills and confidence through the different competition categories, including the Production Number, Concept Attire, Sports Attire, Active Wear Attire, and Evening Gown and Formal Attire. The competition went beyond physical appearance as the candidates were also challenged during the Question-and-Answer portion, where they demonstrated their intellect, composure, and ability to express meaningful and thoughtful responses.

Adding to the excitement of the evening were the dazzling lights, energetic music, and passionate cheers from the audience. A memorable moment was the farewell walk of the outgoing Mr. and Ms. Sidlak, Mr. Clernz Jay-ar Garcia and Ms. Daniela Ungab, who gracefully concluded their reign. A word of thanks was then delivered by Kristine Louraine T. Singco, SSG President, before the presentation of the minor and major awards.

The much-awaited highlight of the evening was the crowning of the new Mr. and Ms. Sidlak 2026 of Notre Dame of Midsayap College. Mr. John Lourence Castillo of the Red Ravens was crowned Mr. Sidlak 2026, while Ms. Dazel Anne Insigne of the Azure Sparcons was crowned Ms. Sidlak 2026. Their crowning marked the culmination of a night filled with confidence, elegance, talent, and determination.

More than just a pageant, Sidlak 2026 became a celebration of the diverse talents and potential of Notre Dame of Midsayap College students. It brought together different colleges and organizations in an evening of glamour, creativity, and school spirit, highlighting that the true essence of Sidlak lies not only in the crowns won but also in the talents, experiences, and unity shared by the entire community.

Day 2 of SIDLAK 2026 at Notre Dame of Midsayap College kicked off on September 23 with high energy as students showcased their talents across athletic, socio-cultural, and academic events. The morning set a passionate tone with artistic competitions alongside various Socio-Acads and athletic matchups. From action-packed games of Basketball, Volleyball, and Beach Volleyball to fast-paced competition in Sepak Takraw, Football, Baseball, Softball, and indoor events like Billiards, Badminton, Table Tennis, Pickleball, Chess, and Esports, the campus transformed into a vibrant hub of skill and performance.

As the events progressed through the day, student-athletes and competitors continuously pushed their boundaries to secure vital points for their team standings. Spectators representing the CBA Golden Eagles, CED & CCJE Red Ravens, CITE Black Hawks, and CN & CAS Azure Sparcons packed the venues to cheer on their peers. The electric atmosphere highlighted remarkable athletic plays, artistic expression, academic excellence, and a strong sense of camaraderie among the entire NDMC community.

The afternoon delivered crucial matchups and competitions, cementing an unforgettable second day for the festival. Beyond the thrilling tournament results, Day 2 reinforced the true essence of SIDLAK 2026—fostering friendship, healthy competition, and active participation as Notre Dame of Midsayap College proudly celebrates 85 years of making a positive difference.
